Funny you mentioned DragonForce... They (Herman Li and Sam Totman) co-wrote this song and played some of the guitar parts for the album version. They also are some of the earliest supporters of BABYMETAL from the metal community. Do they love their fans? Ohhh yesss! They even wrote a song dedicated to us after they experienced their first world tour! P.S.: Looking forward to your Karate-reactions! P.P.S.: I definitely can recommend you to visit Germany (that's where I live) someday! ⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏴 🏴 🏴 "Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) That was at Saitama Super Arena, with a sold out crowd of 20,000. They're still big in Japan. They recently sold out four arena shows in under an hour. So they added two more. Last Friday was their first arena show in the US at the LA Forum, near the end of a 20 city tour. Probably the best concert I've ever seen. This song was the closer, followed by a two song encore.

Hey Undead Sax! Thanks for checking out my favorite band BABYMETAL! You're spot on with the Dragonforce vibes, as others have already said, Herman and Sam wrote the guitar parts and performed them on the studio version album release of this song. Not only that though, Dragonforce was one of if not their first champion in the metal music scene, allowing BABYMETAL to perform with them on stages at a time when metal festivals refused to book them! They have been a huge help to the girls in bringing their music to western audiences. Unfortunately you literally just missed the US tour as they played their last stop in Seattle 3 days ago, and they played Dallas on the 24th of September. They played their first US arena show in LA at The Forum and they sold it out! I caught them in DC and it was amazing, the girls train like athletes to perform their choreo and sing. I can confirm that Suzuka "Su-Metal" Nakamoto (their lead singer) sounded nearly flawless live, but the group considers themselves live performers first and recording musicians second. They just released their new album Metal Galaxy last week on the 11th and I love so many songs on it!
@theundeadsax25915 жыл бұрын
I hear that album is insane so I'm definitely going to check it out!

I think my comment on your last Babymetal reaction must have been marked as spam, so you probably haven't seen it. Hopefully this one will get through. The DragonForce association with this song is real - Herman Li and Sam Totman wrote the guitar arrangements (and played on the studio version). You are right about the energy, athleticism and breath control etc - this was the last song of the show and they'd been going at it that hard in every song for the previous hour or 90 minutes. Also they always sound this good live - and Su's voice is far more natural, many feel the studio recordings are over-processed, especially Su's voice. This was a sell out 20k crowd - their biggest shows to date were 2 nights at a sold out (55k people per night) Tokyo Dome in 2016 where they played a completely different set list (playing all the songs from the first two albums) on each night. Shame you missed their US tour, they played 20 dates (including Dallas and their first US arena show at The Forum in LA). I saw them in London in July and they were brilliant - got tickets ordered for their next London show in February too. I'm looking forward to your reactions to 'Headbanger' and 'Karate' - and good choice doing both the music videos and live performances. I see you've mentioned you are in a marching band - there is a Japanese school band who seem to specialise in playing arrangements of all the Babymetal songs that I think you would find very interesting - you can find them on KZbin.
@theundeadsax25915 жыл бұрын
I did see your comment was marked as spam which is dumb because it was a really good comment😡😡 however thank you for the insight! 55k crowd is INCREDIBLE! They'll be back in the states soon. Do whatever it takes to see them. My suggestion for another BABYMETAL reaction is "Doki Doki Morning" the official music video on their KZbin channel. It's their very first single. They preformed it first live in October of 2010, 9 years ago at ages 11and 12. (The music video was released a year later but not posted to KZbin until 2012)
