Pastors can instruct and guide, but ultimately it's the Holy Spirit that convicts and provides certainty concerning each individual. There is one Gospel for all people, but different very different plans for each individual- we NEED the leadership of the Holy Spirit if we are to walk out God's plan for our individual lives. This is one of my top favorite sermons I have ever heard. I’ve listened to it 4 times today. I was married to a man for 24 years and I tried so hard to hold on but to be honest we were not equally yoked. Once I finally let that relationship end, God sent me what he has for me. I’m slowly letting a job go that I’ve been at for 24 years which is hard but it’s part of that staying in Moab and I can’t stay. Thank you for such wise wise words for us . Amazing lesson. Unfortunately it’s too late for me and my marriage. My wife abandoned me and our two children on July 1, 2023. I gave my life to Christ on June 3, 2023 and I was and still am all in. My wife made sure to burn every bridge and attack me in every way she could to hurt me and the children. She lied and slandered my name and did everything to hurt me. I saw her for the first time on August 30, 2023 and she only cussed me out and told me how she will soon be marrying the man she was having an affair with before she walked out on our family. I know nothing is too big for God, but it is too late for this marriage. There is no going back; too much damage has been done. I will press forward trusting God and my family will be healed but reconciliation is impossible. She even went and got covered in tattoos just to show off how she is so “free”. I’ve held my peace and only been attacked more for it. I’m not walking away from God ever but this marriage is finished. I fought for it and I fasted and I prayed and I went to my war room and fought with everything. She’s gone but I still have hope for a future with someone who DOES love God and me and my kids.
