Excellent analysis. The transfiguration confirmed that Jesus was superior to and was the culmination of the Law (Moses) and the prophets(Elijah). Jesus confirmed the Sanctuary teachings ( the ceremonial law} God instructed Moses to make. All the services and the articles and furniture in the sanctuary pointed to Jesus. The Sanctuary services are the shadow of the things to come performed by Jesus. " thy way oh Lord is in the sanctuary" Psalms 77:13, " I am the way, the truth, the life" Jn 14:6. Galatians 2:2explain what is a true Christian. He is a transformed where Christ is living in Him. He is faithful believer who really love Jesus and he is showing the light of Jesus in his life. More simply: Moses represented those who will be resurrected from the dead; Elijah represented those who will live to see Jesus come and be translated from the earth without experiencing (physical) death. Yahushua was experiencing being transformed before the crucifixion. He knew what the immortal body felt like. Being transformed and seen by disciples, as he said he overcame the world. He told John the disciple in the first of the scripture that from henceforth you shall see angels ascending and descending to him, he was being taught, prepped thought his whole ministry , by angels guiding him, all the way to the cross and beyond.

In the gospel it states that when Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus on the mount, they conversed with each other. Apparently they called each other by names familiar to the disciples. The scripture seem to suggest that the conversation was about Jesus's subsequent demise. It also seem to indicate that one of the main purposes they appeared was to lend their encouragement and support for Jesus's mission to save man. And even if their names weren't mentioned, I believe that the Holy Spirit imparted to them spiritual discernment to identify personalities.

You are being silly. The Gospel is NOT understanding Jesus is the Messiah. Matthew 13 proves that... some in the church (calling Him Christ) are saved "wheat/sheep" (sown by God) and some are unsaved "tares/goats" (sown by Satan). Both groups claim Jesus as Lord and Messiah. Secondly, look at Matthew 7:21-23 or Luke 13:23-28, again, both the saved and unsaved in the church call Him Lord... but only the wheat are saved. The Gospel of the Bible is multitudes more than you suggest child, it includes EVERYTHING in the Bible including (wait for it) all of the "closed-up" and "sealed" mysteries only revealed to the Last Saints at the "Time of the End" [Dan 12:8-10] and all of the Great Tribulation events ("signs") that Jesus PROMISED these Last Saints "shall see" [Mat 24:15]... they "shall see ALL these things" [Mat 24:33]. Remember, the Last Saints do not preach until the Seventh Trumpet "begins to sound" [Rev 10:7-11]. Until then we have only see PART of the Gospel. Wait a second I'm confused.. the Bible says that the dead know nothing. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 the Bible also refers to death as sleep over 27 times in the Bible even Christ himself said when we die we sleep in the grave awaiting for the second coming or the end of the world when the dead shall rice first. How will they rise first if they already rose? Also Elijah wasn't taken up to heaven he was taken away in a whirlwind / tornado because he did not want to go for God wanted him to go.. we know he was still alive because he was writing letters to the King two years later after he was taken away in a world wind.. Even when Lazarus died Jesus said he's sleeping. Remember when Martha came up and said Lord Lord I know you will awaken him on the last day / into the world but can you go and awaken him now?

Many people take this passage as something that actually happen instead of a vision. Similar to the visions John had in the book of Revelation of all that he saw, what the apostles had to have seen was a vision and not reality. Jesus had not resurrected so they saw a vision of Jesus resurrected but obviously it had not happened yet, Jesus was a human and only after His resurrection, his appearance changed. How did the apostles know that the two men with Jesus were Moises and Elijah? They had died also, and we know no one at that time had been resurrected to immortality, the first one was going to be Jesus, and no one else has been resurrected to immortality which will happen at the second coming of the Lord.

The gospel has given no indication that the Transfiguration of Jesus wasn't a real event, witnessed by a few of Jesus's own disciples. Unlike the vision which the apostle Paul experienced on the road to Damascus, or the visions which the apostle John expressed on the Isle of Patmos. What makes the Transfiguration different, or an actual real tangible event; differing from the visions I mentioned above, is that it was experienced by multiple persons at the same time. While the visions of the aged John, and apostle Paul was a singular experience; where only a singular individual saw the vision. But besides all that, just a reading of the account strongly indicate that it was a real literal event. Previous to the Transfiguration, Jesus hinted to His disciples that they will see with literal eyes a preview of His Second Coming. In a condensed version the disciples were privy with an experience of the second coming. After the incident, Jesus counseled them not to make mention of it until the Son of Man is glorified - in other words after His resurrection. If Moses wasn't resurrected (as the Bible seem to indicate in the book of Jude) then he wouldn't have appeared on the mount with Jesus and Elijah. He would still be a dead corpse waiting for the resurrection of all the righteous dead at the end of days, or the second coming of Christ. Unlike Moses that died and was resurrected by Michael ("One who is like God the Father") the Archangel ("Chief of Messengers" - which is none other than Christ Himself - because only God can raise the dead), Elijah was taken up to Paradise or Heaven without tasting death - a symbol of those righteous living prior to Christ second coming, which will be taken up never knowing death. In ancient times when a conquering king returns home, he carries with him token symbols of his victory. Be they treasures, or captives. Those were symbols of his victory. In like manner, after Jesus's resurrection, He carried with Him token symbols of His victory over death, by the resurrection of many which came out of their graves at that time. Moses and Elijah in glorified form were ment to instill hope in the hearts of all believers. It tells us that the price of our redemption has been paid in full.

Gen.1:26 Notice that GOD made Adam and Eve only in HIS Image. Gen.1:27 ; 2:7 HE did not make them having bodies of fire like the angels. Ps.104:4 ; Ex.3:2 But HE expressed HIS intention in Gen.1:26, that mankind too should have HIS LIKENESS, a body of fire. That's why the story of JESUS carried the same theme and showed the way How HE began as a Mortal, but has now become an IMMORTAL. 1Cor.15:45-49 A heavenly body is a body of fire which JESUS now have.
