@beatrizmartinez57607 жыл бұрын
Melody Lady Melody How you were mislead can you please explain a little ? Thank you
@chuckles19547 жыл бұрын
I think I might understand what Melody was saying. There are churches out there that have a wrong interpretation of Israel and the Jews. I can't say the percentages, but its not small. They teach Israel has been divorced from God as in Hosea and the church is now His Bride. They leave out the part where Hosea went to redeem his prostitute wife and bring her back home. Many Christians think they are the apple of His eye, and the Jews have been written off. We, as Christians must realize that we have been adopted or grafted in to the family of God. The Jews are still His chosen people that He revealed the oracles to. Any cursory reading of the New Testament shows Israel will be the final battlefield where Jesus comes back to overthrow the demon army descending on Jerusalem for the final battle. If a church knows to bless Israel and Jerusalem to get a blessing from God, and we consider Jews as our brothers, then she should not have been misled. If a Messianic Jew came to speak in my church, I would be excited to hear Hebrew interpretations to Scripture that a seminary graduate might not have been exposed to. Jews are very familiar of the history and the interpretation of the Talmud, while Christians, even those with Masters Degrees have no clue about. Christians, OTOH, know a lot about Jesus and His ministry that a Jew might not have easy access. I teach Sunday school and have a home study group and much of the material I use comes from Messianic teachers. I also use Christian Teachers, but what my groups seem to find more interesting comes from the Hebrew customs, Laws, and culture that is written about in Hebrew scripture and how some of the original Hebrew has been misinterpreted to English by possible Anti-Semitism. 3 John vs 9 is an example of the Apostle John being shut out of a Christian church as early as 94-97 AD. The early churches met in Synagogues until churches were established. The word Synagogues and the word church both mean assemblies of people, but Christians seem to believe Synagogue is only Jewish. It's past time to break down the walls between Israel and the Christian world.

In my case, I was raised as a catholic, but without a Bible, so lost in drugs from 17 to 25, at the edge of 25 someone introduced me to Mattwe 11:28,29 , found a Bible and read it, then the most powerful thing ever in my life happened to me, because Jesus revealed himself to me at that moment and I had a conviction and of sin as never before and for around one hour of crying and confessing all my sins then I passed out. Next day I woke up on the floor on top of the Bible and I had thirst of The Word of God and kept reading The Gospels (it has been 28 years since then) God worked a miracle in my life and all my lust, drug addiction, etc vanished ... a few months later I was reading the Tanakh

Wowwwww! I LOVE LOVE this interview. Different personalities with so much of the same heart. So much of Messiah's ways. Never have I felt so much of 'oneness in scriptural treatment & understanding & its application in personal code of belief & mode of living'. Being basically Christian with experiences of the Christian God as a kid (indigenous culture) & a revelation of the Person of Messiah Yeshua in my early 20's I am churchless now after too many horrible experiences. I just follow my nose now but spend much time seeking to understand what the Word of God really says about anything & occasionally doing a personal audit in relation to that (very uncomfortable most times). Its interesting to hear Rav Korman's story which doesn't follow a set pattern of 'faith' but reflects Jesus' words "the wind goeth where it listeth & who can know its source". Thank you both. I've visited Israel & learnt enough Hebrew to follow much of your interview. I have to say that I found most Christian fellowships & churches there flakey Americanised hybrids. No different to my own country. This interview has been very encouraging. Thank you!

My vision at the first has been, when gentiles admit Torah is forever for all believers, and Practicing Jewish people recognize Yeshua as their Messiah, this is the perfect way. Obedience in Truth and Faith in the Word. All other doctrines or practices or tradition is made vain and void. Only the Word (NT and Torah) have the power and authority over our hearts and lives if we are to please Elohim. Elohim says: Do not add to or take from (+/-) MY Words. Study for yourself what His Word says. If your parents read all your books for you during school, you finish school without knowing how to read. In the same way, Do not let Men tell you what they think the Word says. You must have this experience of reading and thinking each verse through for yourself. Thats when the Holy Spirit speaks to YOUR mind what it means. Slowly at first, yes, but you are getting to know the writer (YHWH) better each time. May you be Blessed in your walk with Abba Father and His Son Messiah Yeshua.
@elizabethrodriguez73637 жыл бұрын
Hi, Why do you say gentiles must admit to Torah. I am a born again gentile and the bible says that ALL scripture is God breathed and profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16 I have never heard of a gentile rejecting the Torah. It is the old Testament and it is the word of God. I'm quite confused. God bless.....
@rhanamazing35875 жыл бұрын
2 tim 3:16 You said you believe in this verse right? so do I. cuz the scriptures which this verse pertaining to is the OT(where the Torah is) cuz by that time of Paul (author of 2 tim and other epistles) there was no other book called scriptures except the law and the prophets (OT) where the first 5 books is (the Torah) if we follow the commandments will all our heart we are being like Yeshua (Jesus) cuz he didnt come to abolish the law but fulfill it . No cherry picking of what makes us comfortable to follow but to follow it the best as we can and by this we can be called as his true disciples. May the Father bless you ! 😊

Love this discussion. Having fun trying to understand all the Hebrew words used. There is much to learn from this discussion. As a Christian who affirms and supports Israel, Messianic Judaism, etc, I am very concerned with the messianic Jewish community rejecting the truth of Torah/Tanakh. I believe all believers are required to observe the laws that apply today (without the existence of the temple).
@jameswoodard43046 жыл бұрын
ElishevaZ, that is an interesting position. The early believers discussed whether or not gentiles who became desciples of Yeshua should be required to accept the full law of the Jews. The apostles gathered in Jerusalem and sent out messengers saying that the only rules gentiles had to follow were, essentially, those given to Noah. This is recorded in the book of Acts. Paul also wrote about Jews who went about attempting to force gentile believers to become Jews, that they were wrong and caused much confusion. On what do you base your statement that all believers must follow the Law?
@LittleHatori4 жыл бұрын
@@jameswoodard4304 I'm convinced of the same thing. Because the nations are to be blessed by the jews. Which means that the nations- to some degree are different enough to not be considered jews. And if we all became jews after coming to faith the distinction between Jewish and gentile nations would be diluted. Atleast that's how it was explained to me... As of right now, I'm a little sad- I feel like these messianic teachings are too underrated! I'm also convinced that learning biblical Hebrew should be for christian Sunday schools too. Because there is so much missing info and subtleties without knowing the hebrew...

I am gentile and Im So glad you found Yeshua......I agree you are still Jewish and if you are in an Orthodox community it is likely that you can become an influence and other Orthodox Jews can come to know Yeshua as opposed to you straying away from him. Unfortunately, it's not just messianic Jews that treat people the way you were treated at the messianic congregation, but it happens among gentiles too. We need to love the way Yeshua loves because he is all loving. Knowing Yeshua has nothing to do with where you decide to live or your culture, but it has everything to do with a relationship with him. I will listen to this again. I wish I knew more of the Jewish terms so I can understand more. Maybe you can teach the scripture with a cultural Jewish perspective so that we gentiles can learn and understand scripture even more. let me know if you decide to make those kind of videos. I believe that understanding Jewish culture is essential to understand scripture to the max. Thank you I love the Jewish people...Oh your interviewer is hilarious. Good job guys.........

That’s the thinking the Pharisees had 2,000 years ago- how can one challenge ‘the community’ and oral traditions rather then obeying Yeshua; and we saw the persecution through the truth in the prophets and Apostles; I’m glad Dr. Baruch is so patient, it’s difficult listening as this man keeps talking over him; spiritual discipline is essential for sound biblical study, learning to listen rather then waiting for another to be quiet to be heard, or a need to be stimulated something predominant in American churches; Shalom ; )

The "Man" here is Rabbi Dr. Itzhak Shapira, the founder of the organization and the channel. This is the way Jews discuss Matter. Honestly, you missed the point. This is a discussion, not a monologue. If you don't like this channel, you can move on somewhere else. Elsewhere, rather than forming your own opinion (which we did not ask for), you can close your mouth and listen to what "The other man" was saying. Shalom.

I am a Messianic Yehudi.Believing in Yeshu did not take away my identity as a Yehudi! Just the opposite,it set me Free as a Yehudi.Yeshu is my inheritance as a Kosher Yehudi!

Dr Baruch, I'm grateful for your teaching. I think God has blessed you, like Paul, wiith knowledge and training in both jewish and western cultures and therefore being able to feel the gap. Some messianic leaders want to appropriate Jesus as a Jewish Messiah and not for the gentiles. Others have said that we cannot, Christian gentiles, called ourselves children if God.

@Kevin Belgrove it is the heart God searches and judges. You seem to think it is the names we use. Do you believe that Yahuah condemns someone for calling Him Jesus, you should know better. A true Jew is circumcised in the heart, not the mouth. You are very judgmental, but you are not the judge.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💖
