Five months ago, I transitioned from being a modern Orthodox Jew to embracing Christ. Living in Israel, where nearly 99% of Jews do not believe in Yeshua as the true Messiah, presents a unique challenge. My move to Israel was unplanned and spontaneous, but I’m beginning to feel that God placed me here for a purpose. I believe Jesus revealed Himself to me so that I can start a ministry to spread the good news of the Gospels to my Jewish brothers and sisters. I understand that this journey will be an uphill battle, likely filled with heartache, ridicule, and the loss of friendships and family ties. Yet, something deep within me is calling me to pick up my cross and make disciples among the people of Israel. May the Holy Spirit guide and strengthen me in this mission. And thank you @Dr. Michael Brown for your guidance and teachings! ❤

@@garyweiss7111 Accept for the fact that the prophecies of the Bible clearly point to Yeshua as the Messiah, we cannot ignore the fact that HaShem has hidden Yehsua's Name everywhere in different Bible codes of the entire Tanach for us. One clear example is found in Proverbs 30 where the question is asked "Who is the son and what is his name?" Proverbs 30:4-6 speak of a mystery, particularly to followers of Judaism, as it asks the question, what is God’s Son’s name? Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know? 5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. 6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar. Verse 6 warns us not to add to His words, which many are guilty of various faiths are guilty of doing. But now, if we take those verses in Hebrew, which runs from right to left, and lay them out rows of 22 letters per row (which is quite elegant, since Hebrew has 22 letters), here is what we find: We could call this the Proverbs 30:4 Symmetry; the red squares note the start and end of verses 4-6. The green text (seven characters long) are the words “what is his son’s name”. The yellow text states “add not to his words”. The horizontal purple text spells “Hashem” (or “the name” which is the Jewish traditional reference to God’s name), and the vertical purple text spells “is Yeshua”. So together, the purple text spells “the Name is Yeshua”. Although in itself, this proves nothing, it is nevertheless noteworthy because of the perfect cross form symmetry of the positioning of the two statements in purple, as well as their symmetry with the previous words, and the fact that this the name “Hashem” is perfectly inside of “what is His Son’s name” and both are tied together by the words “is Yeshua”. Here is the Link www.evidencetoconsider.com/prophecies-messianic/proverbs-304-symmetry Many more examples are even found, but in Isaiah 53 when talking about the suffering servant, all the names connected to Yeshuas crucifixion are found hidden in the bible codes. goldtmann.wordpress.com/2017/09/28/bible-code-yeshua-shemi/ www.mayimhayim.org/Academic%20Stuff/GodsWord%20part%202.htm An awesome G-d we serve, no coincidences with HaShem! And there is healing in the Name that Saves, and so all Israel will be saved soon with the Hand of Yeshua, when they too will see the sons eye/ayin, spelled Yud, shin,vav and ayin! No longer will Israel Gods first born be blinded.

@trentr89066 ай бұрын
@@garyweiss7111Brown is aware of the allegations that he edited the video. His response however is that Tovia was right there with them on which clips to include and exclude. If Tovia has responded to that response, please tell me. You will have to define bashing. Because I have seen clips of Tovia bashing the writers of the New Testament, but that’s fine if it is relevant to an argument. At that point I don’t consider it bashing. Likewise, Dr. Brown showing where the rabbis contradict each other or questioning the reliability of the Talmud is relevant to the argument that we can’t trust them. Even hypothetically granting your points, I do not see why that is a reason to avoid debating Dr. Brown. He is a Jew. He reads Biblical Hebrew fluently. And he is an orthodox Christian. He is a qualified opponent. Furthermore, a debate would be a perfect platform to expose Dr. Brown of his deceptive editing and rabbi bashing. It seems more like Tovia doesn’t want to debate with Christians who are conversant in Torah. Dismissing Dr. Brown for his behavior is an excuse not to interact with him- at least, to me.
@garyweiss71116 ай бұрын
@trentr8906 In the original video, did you hear the last hour? Nothing but putting the Rabbi down as if he actually doesn't know what he's talking about. Sid didn't bother to invite the Rabbi back. The Talmud is debates. Rabbis bring up different opinions and then come up with a ruling. So, of course, you'll have different opinions. I just find it so funny how J believers always bring up Rabbis and say, "You see Rabbi X says this about this verse so it fits J perfectly." Rabbis are holy to us so. We should listen and accept J. Then, in the same breath, call the same Rabbis liars who invented the Oral Torah and teach against the real Torah. The same ole listen to your Rabbis when I say so, but ignore them when you say so. Dr. Brown doesn't know Modern or Biblical Hebrew near as well as a vast majority of our Rabbis. To even hint I should follow him and reject the real authorities is a joke. Read how Dr. Brown debates. How he edits and all the stuff. You'll know why few want to debate him. Rabbi Singer took on the best and won. If Dr. Brown was truly fair Rabbi Singer and any knowledgeable Jew would destroy him. I can prove him wrong with ease. Feel free to pick one of his points, and I'll prove it.
@trentr89066 ай бұрын
@@garyweiss7111So did Tovia respond to Dr. Brown’s defense against editing this debate or not? If so, please tell me what he said. But the burden of proof is still upon you to debunk the “J” use of a rabbi. Because otherwise you are committing the same error you are accusing Dr. Brown of. You are mad that “J believers” accept the interpretation of some Rabbis but not all. Then you turn around and accept the interpretation of Rabbis who are not used by “J believers” but not the interpretation of Rabbis “J believers” were using initially. You yourself fall into the criticism of “listen to these rabbis but not those.” Here’s how I see it: the “J” use of rabbis is to show that even non-Christian rabbis in some cases interpret a passage the way Christians do. Therefore, it the interpretation cannot be dismissed as a “novel Christian invention.” Jews too can use this method against Christians. If a Jew finds a Christian commentator of the New Testament that agrees with the Jew’s interpretation, the Christian cannot write off the interpretation as a “Jewish perversion.”

If this debate was held today it would take a totally different turn. The narrators and guests did not spend much time on scripture. Any information outside of scripture is completely irrelevant. The only proof of anything that either religion holds true is what is written in the books. I can assure you that Rabbi Singer would be focusing on the scripture and that is the only thing that is important. The questions were based on things like Talmidic history and all of those things are irrelevant. When Christianity is held to the scriptures they fail miserably.

Every rebuttal by Brown (and others like Anthony Rogers) makes it clear that Singer is completely wrong. Not only that, they show he's wrong in a way that shows he's either an incompetent scholar or that he's lying since he should know the claims he's making are wrong. For example, when Singer makes his "Christians tampered with/mistranslated the Tanakh" claims, the rebuttals show that even ancient Jews used the so-called mistranslations/corruptions exactly as Christians do and it's something Singer knows or should have known.

Isaiah 53:5 clearly describes a figure who suffers and bears the sins of others: "But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed" (ESV). This aligns with the New Testament portrayal of Jesus, who is described as fulfilling this prophecy through his suffering and death. Daniel 9:26 foretells that "an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing" before the destruction of the Second Temple, which occurred in 70 CE. This timing corresponds with Jesus' crucifixion, suggesting that the Messiah had to come before this event. The concept of God incarnating is supported by Isaiah 7:14, which states, "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel" (ESV), meaning "God with us." Furthermore, Zechariah 12:10 predicts, "When they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child" (ESV), indicating a divine figure who is pierced for humanity's sake. The sacrificial system pointed to a greater atonement. Leviticus 17:11 explains, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life" (ESV). This is echoed in the New Testament when Jesus says, "for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins" (Matthew 26:28, ESV). Jeremiah 31:31-34 speaks of a new covenant where God's law is written on hearts: "For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more" (ESV). This new covenant represents a transformative relationship with God, as anticipated by the prophets. In the name of Jesus Christ, I bless you all!

I thought Dr. Brown was going to talk about how Elijah and Moses were with Jesus on the Mount of olives witnessed by several disciples at the transfiguration Matthew 17:1-9 and Luke 9:30-36. But they were Messianic Jews like us who are usually ardently opposed. Also, the tearing of the veil in the temple into the HH ie. Mercy seat available to all of us. At Yeshuah’s death at crucifixion there were other saints resurrected when the tombs were opened at the earthquake Matthew 27:51-53. All those things prophesied in the Tanakh! I was so happy I cried and my heart rejoiced, hearing about the six signs of Messiah absolutely being fulfilled in Yeshuah’s sacrifice and resurrection! Blessed is He who comes in the name of Abba Yahweh, Yeshuah HaMashiach! Incredible call, with questions about God’s grace and our works such as sacrifice of prayer, praise/worship and tzedakah in reference to modern sacrifices since the destruction of the second temple. Rabbi Singer at 19:00 lauds the fact, argumentam ad majoram, that rabbinic Jews, as the "last and only sect of ancient Judaism" vis-a-vis the vanished Sadducess, Karaites etc., must be the true people of the covenant, all the while ignoring the 'elephant in the room', namely, that on his own terms his claim defeats his entire position: the continuing and far more successful existence of that other ancient Jewish sect: Christianity.

Rabbi Singer is destroying the faith of many Christians daily on his Tanakh Talk show hosted by William Hall! Rabbi Singer's persona is like that of a modern day Medieval Fantasy Wizard! Especially when he starts talking Hebrew and referring to God by the many references like Hashem and Hasbaruchu. Recently Rabbi Singer debated professor Samuel in Australia and professor Solberg in Nashville. He left both men Shell Shocked in the end. So far this modern day Wizard of Tanakh Rabbi Singer is unbeatable as far as I can tell. A Final Lengthy Updated Debate between Dr. Brown and Rabbi Singer is the only remedy! I believe Dr. Brown would prevail in a new debate👏

It blows my mind that Dr. Brown keep posting this debate online. In fact it blows my mind that he would post any of his debates online. Dr. Brown lost this argument just as he lost his debate with Rabbi Micheal Shochet of blessed memory and Rabbi Daniel Freitag etc. Dr. Brown never won a single argument. I am a very objective person because I love listening to people's views and opinions. I always look at a debate from both sides. Rabbi Tovia also clearly said his opinion does not count he quoted G-d's words plainly. And he did not just quote G-d he clearly showed that what he said is inline with scripture. Which matters the most. Rabbi Tovia Singer won this one. There is no need for rabbi Tovia Singer to debate him again. People in the comments praise Dr. Brown just because he said what a christian likes to hear. He himself is Christian too. Thats it. If you want to believe something you want to believe it. Accept for the fact that the prophecies of the Bible clearly point to Yeshua as the Messiah, we cannot ignore the fact that HaShem has hidden Yehsua's Name everywhere in different Bible codes of the entire Tanach for us.

Yes there are some Jews, but their numbers are infinitesimally small by comparison to all other Jews. The notion that Jesus is compatible with Judaism is an anathema. Tovia doesn't realize that the oral torah is no different than the book of mormon or the qu'ran. Pure apostacy, adding to and detracting from the WRITTEN word. Only the New Testament (New Covenant) is a seamless continuation and fulfillment of the Tanakh. The only true Judaism there is. It is the oral torah that has perpetrated the "blindness of the Jews," leading them away from God. While the New Testament completely supports the Torah, brings the world to the knowledge of Torah, the so called oral torah contradicts the written Torah and puts itself above God and His written word. Pure evil, and a lie. Pure apostacy. In reality, the oral torah doesn't exist in the Tanakh, or in history at all until long after the New Testament was completed at the end of the first century. The oral torah was written in response to the New Testament and Messianic Judaism/Christianity. As an objection to the New Testament. Which is why it contradicts the Tanakh so often.
@thedude99415 ай бұрын
The oral Torah is said to go back to Mt Sinai by most Rabbis, yet like you said you can't find it in the Tanakh or in OT history. The earliest the oral Torah can be traced back to is the second century BC during the Hasmonean era, which is also said to be the Genesis of the Pharisees as a distinct school of thought. And we know from the NT that the oral Torah was only followed by the Pharisees, and was rejected by the Sadducees and Esseans.

what is most interesting is there appears to be different points of view. you wonder why the confusion, perhaps i should say/write, differing opinions, as God could end all discussion. but not knowing the mind of God, or claiming to, one could imagine God's intent is for man to find the answers through, well, debate, listening, reading, contemplation, prayer ... the amazing thing happening here is man has been given permission to seek and find his own answers. as if to say, find your peace, for at the end of your days, the test of life will be graded, apparently, pass or fail. interesting. very interesting. can you live or perhaps more importantly can you die with what you believe? are you satisfied? you can envision why God made man, can't you. you can see why God gave man free will. you can also see why God gave man an instruction book.

Dr Brown: Please explain how circumcision was RADICALIZED around the 1st Century A.D. where the rite given to Abraham, changed from a small clip off the tip of the foreskin, to a radical REMOVAL OF THE ENTIRE FORESKIN, taught by the Pharisees who claimed it came from Moses. (Paul later calls this mutilation or referred to the mutilators.) This is the dilemma of the Apostles on the subject of circumcision in of Acts 15. They had no right to change the covenant of circumcision given to Abraham. They were ONLY rejecting the new radical procedure, brought to the council, by the Pharisees, who also erroneously added a new twist, claiming it was "needed to be saved".

nonsense. It must be a translation issue foreskin vs tip of foreskin, its the same thing. There's no radicalization. And Paul's reference of it as mutilation has nothing to do with radicalization or exaggeration of the cuting. It was a mutilation indeed. He wasn't wrong.

For those who might be curious regarding the change in the surgical procedure of circumcision for Jews, note the following; "But was or is male circumcision a relatively minor procedure? ***Crucially, Jewish circumcision now differs markedly from the originally instituted covenant.*** Until 300 BC, the ritual is recorded as calling ***only for the removal of the tip of the foreskin***. However, when Jewish athletes travelled to Greece to compete in athletic events, they imitated their Greek hosts by pulling their remaining foreskins over the glans penis and tying them closed with a ribbon or piece of string. Over time, this stretching is reported as resulting in a fully-functioning foreskin. “When the athletes returned home, Jewish elders were incensed to see their Hellenised foreskins. To put an end to the practice, ***they instituted the periah***, which involved not only the complete removal of the foreskin ***but the tearing of the frenulum [the delicate and sensitive membrane on the underside of the penis] with a sharpened fingernail.”***

I find that this debate is rather sad, Mike Brown argues from the advantage point of the con man Paul, whereas Tovia argues from the advantage point that the Pauline Gospel is the foundation of the Netzarim Jews. Both can win using those ideas but neither is even close to the truth. Yeshua is not god! Yeshua did not die for your sins! The only way to receive eternal life is to follow the Torah just as Yeshua mentions numerous times in the Gospels. The Pauline Gospel was written 75 plus years before the gospel, therefore Paul has a great deal of power in the thoughts added.

The story of Joseph takes up 25 chapters of God's first book (Genesis). The story of Joseph reveals God's plan for the Sons of Israel / 12 tribes. Out of envy, they rejected their brother, who their father loved most, who had a vision of all his brothers bowing down to him. They rejected their brother, who Israel/Jacob thought was now dead, but was alive, who came out of the pit, and went to the Gentiles and became their Savior and Ruler. Later, the rejected Savior and Ruler was revealed to his brothers who rejected him, when they confessed their sin of rejecting him. Could it be any more clear?

@@VFXShawn Exactly it was Yosef.(JOseph). Simple, Joseph never died, none of his brothers never worshipped him as' god" it's reverence .. and if Joseph was such a Saviour how come Israel ended in bondage again? Jospeh never "shed' blood' for anyone... On top of GOD hates human sacrifices. See how ridiculous the idea is. On top of that, the one 'superior of Joseph was Pharoah ( GENTILE).... what implying just fell down... because you're going out of context.... Contexto talks better. Don't use the Cinderella book to interpret the story of Pinocchio. The Tanach interprets itself.

@@MTDMP 1. Joseph was considered dead by his father Israel, upon seeing the bloody robe presented by his deceptive brothers, and as a result, Israel was then known once again as Jacob as long as he thought his son was dead, symbollically showing that Israel is not Israel so long as they believe their Messiah (Jesus) is dead. 2. While it is true his brothers did not worship Joseph as God, that is because Joseph was not God, Joseph was just their brother, however, the dream Joseph had was the sun, the moon, and the stars all bowing down to him (Genesis 37:9). This dream was not about Joseph himself, but about the Messiah, whom all the nations will worship and serve (Daniel 7:13-14). 3. Israel ended up in bondage long after Joseph had died, his story had ended, and a new Pharoah who did not know Joseph had risen to power. Josephs story was only symbolic and prophetic of the Messiah, but his story like all human stories ended at the termination of his life. Joseph was not the final deliverer of Israel, the Messiah is. 4. God hates human sacrifice, yes, but God also told Abraham to offer his son Isaac, "your only son, whom you love", as a picture of what God himself would provide, as Moses and Abraham both acknowledge as prophecy (Genesis 22:13-14). 5. Joseph was 2nd only to Pharaoh, who represents God the Father in this analogy, with strong parallels to Psalm 110:1 "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." Joseph was the right hand of the Pharoah, and so pictures God and his Messiah perfectly.
