I always wanted gw to expand on the massive beastmen horde heading to Shyish more specifically THE black pyramid. Some two years ago you held a lore writing contest and I wanted to write about how a free city expedition in Ghur uncovered a storm vault that contained the remains of the godbeast Ravenak, the progenitor of the beastmen. I was trying to tie uncovered prophecies within the stormvault with the beastmen pilgrimage that would essentially lead to their ascension and the possibility of a undivided Chaos god. Anyways I thought that would be a nice little series. If interested just say so. I ll send yeah my brainstorm outline. Maybe you can pitch it to gw lol.

It isn't just Lady O, Death cannot stop getting wasted in general. I feel like GW is trying to apologize for the Soul Wars. "We almost made Death cool. Our bad."--GW. So to make It up, they decided to have the entire Death faction get owned in that Teclis book. They killed off Nagash (again) and had Arkhan get so owned that he can't even muster a deathrattle legion anymore. He's not even in the new book. Katakros gets beaten easily by Archaon and Lady O keeps getting wasted, over and over again. Narratively, it sucks to be death.

Not the same army technically, but Deathrattle was Arkhan's thing and if you bought that older Start Collecting box, you are out of luck. Because if you want to play Arkhan today, you have to start a whole new Ossiarch army.

Grave guard is the best heavy hitter through all of the current books points to effectiveness wise And khorne is a pretty bad and outtaded book now so yeah should have a talk to your opponent about power level of the armies before you play

It's a neat story telling tool to have so many characters Immune to a perma-death. Allows for some very heavy conflict between big named characters. Stormcasts become reforged, daemons are sent back and undead are similar in that regards. Let's not compromise the model line now lol.

Are there any novels that are 'bad guys v bad guys'? I picked up 'Lady of Sorrows' and she is the antagonist in that book. All the books I have read so far are told from the perspective of an Order hero.

Nagash Undying King and Neferata: The Dominion of Bones are both basically bad guys vs bad guys. They both star Death vs Chaos, and the pov's are mainly the likes of vampires, chaos champions, necromancers, and such! Both Excellent novels imo. And if you're a fan of the Warcy game, Warcry: Catacombs Blood of the Everchosen is a good book where almost all the povs are well Warcry warbands! Really solid.
