He remembers his meeting with Kumar Sanu after he bagged the film and explains why he took up some projects for financial reasons during his lean period. In 70's- 80's there was RD Burman and Kishore Kumar. In 90's there was the fabulous duo Anu Malik and Kumar Sanu. The great thing about Anu Mallik is that he extracts the maximum from the singer he can contribute. Secondly the songs composed by Anu Mallik are very melodious yet not that complicated.... Another great thing about Anu's songs is you never get bored even if you listen 1000 times the same song. Even today I crave for that melody which was in 90s but today's songs are really very pathetic except a few. This film drives us back into the same feel....Thanks to Anu Malik and Kumar Sanu for giving such beautiful songs again after a long time.

Salil Chowdhary, Shankar-Jaikishan, Ravi, R.D Burman & Jatin-Lalit have been the legendary music directors who mesmerized us with melody as their core strength. O.P. Nayyar, Kalyanji-Anandji, Bappi Lehri, Viju Shah, Pritam etc.have been master percussion-instruments users. It was hard to think beyond this. Then arrived the icon Anu Malik in the industry and conquered all levels of the class of music. What melody, what rythm, what beats, what choice of instruments, what choice of the singers, what use of technology and what a connect to the situations of the songs. He just set the trends and people actually followed him. A real legend and the most original and genius music director, who was targeted as being a copy-cat. He hasn't got the respect he deserves while some, not worth dust of his feet are worshipped. Nobody can ever even get near his standards of music. Truly, the God of music he is...

Manpreet Singh Agree with you. One more thing about Anu is that you simply cannot categorise his music in one type, or there is no particular flavor that he has in his music. Whereas, in most other composers’s music you can tell who the composer is by listening to one or two songs. Anu has created music in the widest variety. And so is with LP.

This is soo sad how the musicians are treated in INDIA , there is no system for musicians to work on their music freely and put out albums that people would streams regardless of having to take help of bollywood industry as mainstream!!
