I love apple harvest time. We have an area close to our home that we visit. They show the process of making apple cider from the apples picked in the orchards. It’s a beautiful place where they sell fresh apple pies made fresh in the many local restaurants. Your passion shows in your endless energy and enjoyment in doing what you love. Thank you for another great video!

@@bluebirdhomestead we will be visiting this wonderful orchard paradise but I am sure I will be purchasing one of there wonderful freshly baked apple pies which always are better than mine. I once canned and cooked when the family was growing up and in the home. Now, at 76 and just the two of us, I’m happy to buy fresh healthy foods from local stores and farmers markets. If you have a pressure cooker, add peeled and chunked apples, lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon, if desired. Cook 8 min and use immersion blender or potato masher to desired consistency 😊 If you have scrubbed the apple thoroughly, the cores and peels can be used to make apple jelly or apple cider vinegar 😊
@bluebirdhomestead
@bluebirdhomestead 2 ай бұрын
I should have saved the cores to make apple cider vinegar!! I completely forgot about that. We go through a lot of apple cider vinegar so that would have been nice. I will have to use the pressure cooker next time! Apple season is almost here :) - Cara
