Don't fall from any of this trap. The Bengali culture is primarily devoid of debates. And as far as women empowerment etc, post poll violence is something which we have witnessed. Now India looks at Bengal from the lenses of kolkata. Now remember Kolkata is just pyongyang of North Korea. You wont be able to see misery in pyongyang and you wont be able to film the poverty. Only difference is that you are allowe dto film the negativity once in your life in Bengal for obvious reasons.... And culture , which they boast about,,,, remember the state doesn't have a dance form or temples with good architecture . Odias dont boast , but they have a dance form and look at the architecture of there temples. If you go across interiors of Bengal , you would find just one form of architecture across every temples in Bengal.... The culture which they boast about is superiority complex obtained by being Subserviant to British . The culture has basics of feudalism protected by communism . I was amazed to see how a people of kolkata berate someone who is from Medinipur. They use to call them "Tumpa" and many other names. It is a shock , because most of the freedom fighters which bengalis boast about come from Medinipur , yet they are made fun off . There dialect is made fun off . They even find it tough to find rent in Kolkata. People leaving outside Kolkata have been programmed to think that mannerism of people of Kolkata is a pinnacle of civilization.... Again as I earlier said Pyongyang model. And when your society turns feudal everyone wants to jump ladder... Again don't again fall to the trap that Bengalis Society **** women empowerment etc..... Tolerance is the basics to the society which would respect women..... hats why after post poll violence even the cover/pretense is blown away....
