Clever. Making an interconnected world with all these classic books and War of the World's is the epicenter of this. Did the Martians rip a hole in the fabric of reality with their malice and contempt for mankind?

A good question, but one that I am not yet ready to publicly reveal the answer to. Suffice to say that the 'hole' had something to do with why the martians have come and why some people developed strange powers.
