I'll tell you how famous this man was. On June 25, 2009, I was 26 years old, and my father and I were going to the Washington Nationals vs. Boston Red Sox games. My father’s a lifelong diehard Sox fan (we ended up going to three more games that summer when they played Baltimore). Anyways, we drive to the game and had to park kind of at a distance, so to accommodate they had a greyhound busing people to the ballpark, and as soon as our bus pulled up to Nationals Park, some guy, some stranger, ran onto the bus and announced back to everyone, "Michael Jackson just died!". The whole bus went completely silent for what felt like 30 seconds, only broken by me shouting out from the back, making sure I heard him right, “he died?!?" So think about it like this, follow me here, this is one of the reasons why I say he is one of, if not the most famous people ever. What other famous person would you feel the need to run onto a Greyhound bus at a Nationals game to frantically announce to a group of strangers that they had died. Who would you ever do that for? The President of the United States, while they were in office, and Michael Jackson are probably the only people in the world someone would feel the need to do that. We went into the park and there was definitely a different feel to the evening compared to any other game I’ve been to. The only thing people were talking about was Michael. When you were walking by groups of people, you could hear that’s what they were talking about. His music was being played everywhere, and while it was a sad moment in history that he had passed, it was amazing to see such a sudden spark in love and appreciation. And while it’s unfortunate that it takes death for this part to happen a lot of the time, seeing everyone come to the realization of just how special this man was, how you will never see something like him again, his memorial being viewed by more than 2 billion people worldwide, it gives you chills. This man was beyond famous, from the deserts of the Middle East to the jungles of South America, people know who he is. The entire world stopped that day. RIP MJ

Geraldo Rivera nailed it. When MJ was begging for the public to stop condemning him before the truth came out, nobody listened. It took him dying for people to realize what an amazing& genuine artist he was. Truly one of a kind. No matter what terrible news they would read or hear, the fans would always defend him and stuck with him and continue to buy his albums and see his concerts. Now that's true love from people who found great joy from his music for 5 decades. There will be no one else like him. You will forever live Michael Jackson!!

His death truly devastated me. Honestly i still havent really gotten over it and still cry when i think too much about it. And i feel really silly because i never met the man, i just know him through his music and all the videos and movies. I generally dont think most people these days are worthy of being idols or even holding the title of celebrity but he went way beyond that for me and i think a lot of people. He did not deserve all of the pain in his life that he had to endure. He was a severely misunderstood man who, in all fairness, didnt always do the right things to help his image, but he was not the predator that people have tried to paint him to be. He was so kind, generous, humble, and deserved so much more from this world. I hope that if theres life after this, that he got the best one and is happy. Rest In Peace Michael 💓 its been a dim 12 years without you. We miss you.

This was bigger than even Elvis passing. Michael was and is still arguably the biggest music icon of all time. Geraldo was right. They were demonozing him all through his last years on this earth, only to praise him the second they knew he was gone. This world did not deserve him. He gave this world his all, from an extremely young age......and what ended up happening is he reached the very top. It is hard to stay there. Once someone has gotten to that level, everyone takes a shot at knokcking them down, out of greed and jealousy. They made his life so diffucult, he couldnt sleep like a normal person would. That ultimately led to his death. His song "leave me alone" resonates so much, because maybe if they would have, he'd still be here today.
@frankbrown45133 жыл бұрын

Michael Jackson is the King of Pop, he has the #1 and #2 most sold albums of all time, biggest concert tour in history, and the one that should really bring him first place, most awards of any musical artist ever. He also sang about helping the world and changing the world for the better all the time, acted like Jesus would want a human to act, made an amusement park on HIS OWN property for kids and kids with disabilities/cancer. He had visited many hospitals and donated a lot of money. He was also terribly accused, beaten as a child, and so many things which makes him who he was, a great person. But aside his personal things, his voice was amazing, he is the #1 entertainer of all time, and he is the best dancer ever. Freddie and Elvis were great (though Elvis didn't write most of his songs) but in personal character and skill, MJ is better and with all the awards and records he's broken, he is the #1 singer of all time; there will never be another MJ. And music will never be the same.

What do you mean he was about to "expose Sony"? He already did do that, like 8 years before this happened. And no one said he took his own life. "why would your own sibling make shit up like that?" Who Latoya? Because Latoya is a fucking nutcase. "btw you cant say he died from anaesthetic, since no one really does know how he really died, oh wait unless you were there" Are you serious? They have these things called autopsy's. Have you ever heard of them before? It is something doctors do to a person after they die, they explore their body, run blood tests, examines the organs, and they do all this to figure out exactly how a patient died. And guess what, they did one to Michael Jackson, and it determined he died from the anesthetic. So we actually do know how he died despite your laughable comment. You have absolutely zero, none, nada, evidence MJ was murdered. And Latoya saying "it was murder" is not evidence. We already know what happened, in fact we know exactly what happened, and what happened was not murder.
@IJustFiguredThisOut10 жыл бұрын
Fakdis WD Close family member? MJ's family had to have appointments to see or speak with him. He wasn't close with any of his family except his mother. And why would I believe what Latoya said, her saying "it was murder" does NOT make it true. And no I am not believing the media, I am however going to believe these people called the coroners office whose sole purpose is to determine how someone died.

I feel worthless, that’s what y’all telling me everyday.

He was so famous that minutes after his death, the news reached my school in Pakistan and we stopped everything, cried badly, made banners about his life, came out on the streets and we all cried along with neighboring schools, who were also shocked. Ive never cared for any pop star other than the King!

Michael Jackson is the greatest musician this planet has and will ever see. The whole world knew him. He wasn’t allowed at basketball games for his own safety. You see the worlds best musicians today go to nba games and sit comfortably without worrying about getting mobbed by fans. Michael stood still during one of his shows and said nothing and people were fainting at the mere sight of him. He won 8 Grammys in one night. Rest in piece legend.

The fact that Whitney Houston was talking about Michael Jackson when he died was really sad because little did she know that she was going to pass away almost 3 years later 😔

I was only 6 when he passed, yet I still remember that dark day. I grabbed a newspaper after eating at Taco Bell with my parents and I read the headline. It read something like: Michael Jackson Has Passed Away. I broke down crying. Thinking back on it now, I thought: If I, a kindergartner, am breaking down over a celebrity that I was barely starting to listen to and grow up with, imagine how much pain his own family felt. His siblings, especially Janet and his mom. Good God, I still cry every now and then when I listen to his music or read articles about him. The media attacked him all the time and I remember reading those allegations too in the same month he passed. Hated it and hate the media even to this day. Rest in Peace, Michael. Will forever cherish you, your legacy, and music 🤲💗💗💗 always on my mind and in my heart

The world is cruel! MJ had Judas in his life! He was tormented by the cruelty of Judas people! 5 decades of his open life to the public! He gave it all yet people abuse his kindness, talent and money! They tried to assassin his good image using his love for children, his looks, his spiritual belief, his humanity advocacy! This humble man suffered from being beaten child to persecution! He was alone, in pain! Yes, they did abandon him in times of pain! He was a true Philanthropist. He did hospitals, charities, orphanages and donations more than he did his concert worldwide. He was in my country back then helping cancer kids! I thank God in heaven for creating a masterpiece Michael Jackson!

I remember this day. I got in my car and blasted his music. I just drove around. It felt like he was still with me.

I’m so thankful for MJ. Without him I would never discovered my love for music. His music bought my family togetherness; always enjoyed listening and watching his music videos together. To me he was the symbol of peace and love that he gave to the world. He reached and touched our hearts. His music and legacy are immortal and will always be the King of Pop.

Thank you Rivera! It seems the only people who continued to show MJ love were his true devoted fans.

+Leia Laiden I remember when everyone turned their backs when MJ got false accusted for being a pedophile .. I was the only one who believed in MJ... He never did that. I supported him every second and followed every step when he went through trials and court.. No one supported him! I was so sad because all I saw was love and kindness in MJ. He will always be my hero and idol from late 80´s when I was a kid

I was 8 when he passed- I remember running upstairs to watch the news on TV. I was introduced to his music by my grandfather and my love for music today began with this man’s artistry. Even as a kid, the shock this news brought to me as a kid is still palpable. Today, I’m 21 and my grandfather passed away in 2016. Nothing is the same anymore . It amuses me how people today are so comfortable comparing MJ with the most generic pop artists ever. RIP, Michael. You were THE class act. Always will be.

Michael was just too sweet and innocent for this world. I know it's very sad that he passed but the way I see it he's dancing with the angels now and he's the best one. I bet even God is jealous of how good he is.

The man at the end is Geraldo Rivera and he was a popular tv host back in the day when Michael and Madonna and that genre was at their peaks in their careers. Geraldo has always been real that's why so many people liked him as well.hes definitely credible . For all you youngans on here lol.

Seriously i mean how toxic can media really get, Rivera totally nailed it there were hardly any celebs supporting him,chris tucker was one of them who stood by him all times,man it's really heartbreaking and depressing.It really is a cruel world for gentle,pure souls like Michael
