i just found your channel and i want to say thank you for your continuous efforts to educate people! i am a female and while i’m not muslim, i find public gyms overwhelming. i wish there were more female only options in my area, but i have the same struggles where i’ll go to a gym and the “women’s only” section is simply a boxed off area right in the open! we need more flexible options so individuals can feel comfortable in places they should be able to access!

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). 1:39 I hope u realize that people might still stare at u _because_ of ur attire, because people exercising in religious attire is _not common_ , and _not_ because ur too promiscuous. this isn't Saudi Arabia or Pakistan where religious, traditional clothing is the norm, and no one will do a double take at exercising women who are covered in head to toe in black. this is Canada, a western country. yes there are a lot of muslim immigrants here, but that does not make muslim culture the "norm". _not_ every single guy is erotically-driven. some people, both men and women, will stare at u _because_ they have never seen anyone do what u do before, _not_ because ur too revealing or whatever. wouldn't _you_ stare if you saw a person riding a camel on the road in Toronto? exactly. and why would u stare at a person riding a camel in Toronto? because thats not something u see everyday in Canada. would u stare if u were in Saudi Arabia? no, because its much more common there to do that. no hate. im just trying to speak logic. 🤷‍♀

this is definitely not an issue of men being sexually attracted to how revealing ur body is. this is more of a foreign-culture-somewhere-where-that-culture-is-not-common thing. and like I said I dont hate ur culture. im just saying that ur interpreting the public reaction incorrectly.

I think it's awesome that you have found a way to go to the gym that works for you. A lot of people would use this as a barrier. For me, I couldn't do this. I'd fall. I fall constantly regardless and I would get tangled and trip. My ankle rolls on uneven ground or if I step wrong so I have to be careful constantly. I use a woman's gym for that reason. Generally fewer people who see me flat on my face about 2x a week.

I struggle just sitting in my home in my regular clothes at a decent temperature, so it would definitely be harder to work out with more layers. Definitely true!! I live in a muslim country alhamdulilah and am able to workout during women’s hours and it’s mostly great! That doesn’t mean it’s perfect though, just recently we had a guy walk right in during women’s hours (somehow he didn’t notice the signs and the number of women there) and we’ve had men walk in on women’s only classes accidentally. So less than ideal, and definitely not only we should be held accountable as women.

I remember years ago I was a member of 24 hour fitness. I was working out in the gym and I was finished with my workout. I was in the women's dressing room and changing out of my workout getting ready for my shower. I never really liked the locker room because it's an open atmosphere where everybody can see everybody and the lockers are just against the wall. I get self-conscious in front of anybody including women. Luckily I was done with my shower and just getting on my shirt when I saw someone walk in. But when I look up it was a man. I quickly put on my shirt and just stared at him for about a minute and he went to his locker and started getting ready. I said excuse me do you realize you're in the women's changing-room? You seem shocked and embarrassed and apologized and said I didn't even look up and see this was the women's room.

For myself, I would prefer an all female workout area, but generally a person has to be flexible and work with what is available, right?! 🙂 And yes, it's rather unfair to have commentary over where one of you work out and not the other because of gender. Love you guys.

The only reason I can think of as to why someone might stare at you as you're working out, while not polite and giving them the benefit of the doubt, is that your clothing is unusual. Something they're not use to seeing. Pick a gym you like and feel comfortable going to and I'd be willing to bet that after a while of repeated use the staring will lessen as the people there become more accustomed to you and the way you dress. You have to remember you might not be the only one who's uncomfortable. Most people like their routines and for places/people/things/whatever that they frequent regularly to meet their preconceived expectations. Any variation from the norm or what was expected can give some people pause. Let their brains adjust to the new norm and after a while they'll hardly notice you. I highly doubt that, at least for the vast majority, they're staring at you because you're Muslim and/or you're a female working out among males in a co-ed section of the gym. You're just different and their brains are taking a minute to catch up.

I think that's it more than anything, we're so accustomed to seeing women dressed in gym clothes that it is odd to see a Muslim woman in full hijab and wearing a face veil working out................................. that being said, I'm 100% you do you kinda person hahaha, if that is what works for her and she's not causing harm to anyone, rock on with your bad self and get your workout on girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ok, I'm NOT trying to be controversial when asking this. I truly don't know or see the answer and need help understanding. You said you won't do squats as it shows the shape of your body. Ok. As covered as you are, is there a shape that is showing? Can't you just face the back wall? And is it like no movements that show joints, bending, etc are allowed? And if you do the elliptical, wouldn't your knee-bending motion show? I also want to say that it is a double standard for Muslim men when they go to the gym. I'm glad you pointed that out. I don't believe in Islam or the guidelines Muslims follow in their faith. I still wouldn't shame or disrespect because I don't agree. Finally, I'm in America and you don't see Muslim women wearing coverings in a gym very often At All. That may be a reason as to why there's all the staring

Whats the garanty that women wont click my pics and send it somewhere else? 3. What if there are hidden cameras. Security cameras? So yet i would have to be in Hijab. If i had to be in Hijab then i would rather be in mixed gym. Plus.....a man doing his manly exercises can attract gals too.... because you know Male Gym wears and exercises they can get a little hot. But we need to be respectful anyways. And going with your partner to gym is one of the most beautiful thing ever b
