⁠@@mohdwazeeque2893Russo was head writer but had nothing to do with matches / match layouts etc. segments involving main event talent were booked, produced and handled by Cornette. So yeah he deserves a lot of props, you could really see the quality of the show drop significantly when Jim and the other “rasslin” guys were gone and Vince was left to his own devices.

I remember this episode, it was absolute mayhem and everyone got involved from Christian’s coalition taking out abyss and sting to Kurt angle walking out with the world heavyweight title in his possession, it was indeed one match, one show, all night long

Christian Cage is TNA’s most important addition to this day. He was the first to jump ship to TNA. And opened the door for so many others to come to TNA. TNA’s best stars are AJ Styles for being Mr.TNA and Cage for putting TNA on the map for so many other stars to join in. I wish Cage is put in Impact’s HOF soon.

man these days were so damn special..i remember just going threw channels on my tv an i said well i guess ill watch tna on spike tv tonight since there really isnt anything else too watch..an i started watching this match an i didnt know it was going too go aslong as it did ..but ill tell you somthing ..it took somuch off my mind an it made me so happy..wrestling was alive again..i mean u couldnt put any better 3 wrestlers in that ring ..i was pleased with the whole match..i was going for kurt angle the whole time..lol yeah i like the bad guys somtimes ..but they are great wrestlers but great workers aswell..an the way they make us fans happy ..im very thankfull too be alive for moments like this..i know it probley sounds stupid too you but im thankfull for pro wrestling..its the only thing that keeps me alive ..im depressed all the time an theres times where i dont want too be here nomore ...but then i remind myself i have people an family that love me an if i ever did anything stupid to myself i would never get too enjoy moments like this..so im very thankfull too be alive today an once again thank you impact or tna whatever you are lol for moments like these ..i hope you make more great impact moments because i will be waiting on youtube too watch it ..im thankfull for your wrestling an you keep me alive i know sounds crazy but people like me its very important...thank you impact for being about pro wrestling all these years u are the best..an we both stay alive how about that lol thank you with all my hart ...godbless you all...wrestlers fans all of you!! goodnight!!!

Millennial Smark I hated how they made Kurt’s 1st title defense a multi-man match. Let him beat Christian (previous champ) in a 1v1 to settle the score then move to Joe and turn heel. But instead Russo wanted to bring Angle’s wife into the feud for no good reason. That’s where they failed

THIS... this TNA was the only other alternative to WWE to me. Everything else just sucked to me for some reason. Even Impact now doesn’t have the same effect on me as these days.

It had a production level above all the other Indies. Bigger crowds. A venue where you knew it was TNA thanks to the ring, Tunnels how the fans were situated. And a raw and unpolished look. It was edgy, it was the alternative. Personally I felt despite many flaws. And piss poor management (Cornette goes into depth a lot about that as do many others). Overall It was a better product or at least on par with WWE between 05-09.

I know Christian Rhino and Jeff Hardy were the first ones to make that jump from WWE to TNA, and they were special. But when Kurt Angle showed up, that was a game changer.

Just because you know what jobbing even means doesn't mean you really know anything about how wrestling works. Old vets on the way out the door make the new talent look good. It's called doing business. Literally every wrestler not named Hulk Hogan understands this.
