Phil Robertson

Күн бұрын

Phil rocks out to Alice Cooper, and he and Al remember the time Aerosmith's Steven Tyler approached them in a hotel lobby. Jase has another close encounter of the convenience store kind when someone yells at him to put a mask on. He also has a run-in with a couple of guys who don't take kindly to his kind at the golf course. Al and Jase tell the story of how competitive (and MEAN) Willie got when he made a weight-loss bet. Phil reveals what helped his faith more than anything, and it never would have happened without "Duck Dynasty." Al talks about engaging on gender pronouns and other cultural issues when even churches try to muzzle us. And the guys discuss spiritual decapitation, whether or not it's biblical for women to be ambassadors of the church, and stuffy church rules that burn bridges instead of bringing people closer to Jesus.

My 23 daughter worked 5 to midnight in a convenience store and was robbed at knifepoint by an unmasked man. She said it was funny because any other time he would have been masked. Then one night a man came in bought 4 beers. Went out and drank two. Came in and put the empties in the garbage. Came to counter and said these were going to be his last beers. Scares her a bit. He goes out drank another. Came back and says I'm fixing to go to jail but I'm going to drink this last beer first. He said he was an alcoholic. Had been dry for 5 years. He lost his job due to covid. Started drinking again. His wife kicked him out that night. She is afraid something bad is getting ready to happen. She asked him if he wants to pray. So she puts her hands over his on the counter, they pray and he goes out to sidewalk and sits down to drink his last beer. All the sudden several police cars, a firetruck and an ambulance fly into the lot. They all jump out and cautiously approach the man. They talk to him. He gets up and is helped on to the gurney and is taken to ambulance. He waves at my daughter as he went by. She waves back. An officer came in. They thought they were coming to a murder/suicide or if lucky just a suicide. She said it was a crazy place to work. She said 90% of the people come in mad at someone or something and have to get in somebodies face. She wore her mask but didn't enforce it with customers because she wanted things peaceful. She just wiped the counter alot and sprayed alot of disinfectant. She no longer works there.

Can you tell me if this sounds abusive? 😔 My friend's husband won’t let her visit any friends or family. He has made her stop all contact with them unless it’s on the phone or computer. He reads and censors her comments on social media. He makes her feel like she's going crazy for thinking he’s controlling, and that she is being ungrateful. (After all, he’s only doing this because of how much he cares about her.) He doesn’t want her going to the gym anymore, so she doesn’t go. He also doesn’t let her go to work anymore (he told her to only rely on him for income and that he will take care of her). She's not really allowed to go out anymore, unless it’s for necessities, and when she does, he makes sure to have people guilt trip her about it and shame her for it. He wants her to have this medical procedure done and tells her that if she does it, he will allow her more freedoms. He constantly says he's only doing all of this because he cares... he is just doing it for her own good. Oh wait....did I say husband? I meant the government. My bad. If I question it, I am an extremist. Am I? Can I ask a question? You have been conditioned to be outraged if another person did this to their spouse, but be passive & compliant when it comes to our government. Please just think about it (Copy and pasted from a friend, but so worth the share.)

Alice Cooper was born Vincent Damon Furnier in Detroit, MI. He is the son of Ella Mae (née McCart) and Ether Moroni Furnier. He was named after one of his uncles and the writer Damon Runyon. Although born Jewish, Cooper's became an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Jase your study is spot on.. I only wish your words would fall on more ears that need this food. God Bless you Jase! The Essene's, a strict ancient Jewish sect devoted to religious purity and linked to the Dead Sea Scrolls, are one of the most interesting and mysterious religious elements in Judaea around the time of Jesus. In Israel, the Hebrew men and women wore long hair, yet it was trimmed to show humility. Baldness was wholly despised and extremely long hair was the characteristic of the Nazarite/Essene. Corinth leaders Were in revolt against them, thus shaving their heads invoking their form of purity. It goes FAR deeper that just that , forms of torture and disfigurement occurred due to perceived inequality... Greek vs Hebrew, segregation or discrimination on grounds of race by those of Corinth. Look at what happened to David's enovy in - 2nd Samuel 10.. Long hair and beards were/are almost Holy to Hebrew men.. The dude got half shaved, beat and sent home with his posterior exposed...

@Logan, I am with you on this subject. People are deceived if they think the lyrics that talk about the light has anything to do with God, or Jesus. Satan is the light bearer, he was an angle of light. Most of hellywood and the music business are worshipping the evil one. If they would learn all the freemason symbolism, they would know who is deceiving them. Many of them read the fables of the zohar, and think the tree of life is made up of ten deities, with keter on top which means crown, or corona. Chabad .org, is what they are trying to drag christians, and jews into to deceive them. Orthodox jews are waiting for the messiah to come the first time with what Jesus already fulfilled on the cross. The third temple is prefabed, and ready to be put up, and they have a red heifer to start up the sacrifices. Check chabad, the noahhide laws that are not in the bible, but in the talmud will be used against christians. Trump, and those before him put the noahhide law's into our legislation. To have a mediator between us and God is considered idolatry, and death is the penalty for idolatry. All these leader's are in on this plandemic, and I am not taking that shot. I hope people wake up to what is going on. I hope none of the robertsons are in the club, but I fear that willie may be. God bless.

@@randythompson1957 The verse says “judge not lest ye be judged accordingly.” So don’t be judging someone for something you yourself do. In other words, don’t be a hypocrite. He tells us we can know who is His and who is not by judging their fruit. Good trees bare good fruit. Bad trees bear bad fruit. The only way you know is by judging the fruit. That verse is misused by every heretic and unbeliever in the world. I’m not saying that is you. But, Christians ARE supposed to judge people by their beliefs and behaviors. However, we are to remove the plank from our own eye so we can see clearly to judge the speck in another’s eye to help them know that their speck is sin and they should repent. God bless!

Vincent Furnier claims to be a Christian now, but he still continues to tour the world as his "alter ego" Alice Cooper, singing songs like "I love the dead," "Dead Babies," "Killer," and numerous Unholy songs for money and adoration of thousands. He also has/had a side band called "The Hollywood Vampires" so I kind of see him as "the rich young ruler" who couldn't let go of his old self/worldly possessions. But hey, I still struggle myself!

Do you ever listen to Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs? He has a podcast called, "The Way I Heard It." He did an episode about Alice Cooper and his quick story. He mentions his dad and his faith. Edit: It's episode 31. Only six minutes long.

I stared watching your show years ago and keep coming back to it . You all remind me of my childhood. Dad teaching me to fish , respect and use a gun. Wasn't old enough to go hunting yet. I grew up eating fish, squirrels, frogs, rabbit, duck pheasant, goose ,and venison. Could clean most of them before I was 8 years old. We also foraged for wild persimmons, berries, chestnuts. I talk about eating some of these up here in Wisconsin and they think I am weird. lol I talk to people a lot about how there is no reason for a person to go hungry if you know what to look for and are willing to do a little more work to get it, and how to store it for later use. Helps to know what you are looking at. God is still providing all you have to do is walk out in your yard. If you're to lazy to pick a few dandelions for your salad or other greens guess you aren't that hungry.

Also wanted to make you aware of a few festivals they have up here. In September of the even years in Monroe Wisconsin they have a swiss festival called Cheese days. The only place in the USA that makes limburger cheese is there. If you take a weekend off and want anonymity it's a fun time for adults and children. Stop by Baumgartners for a big stinky or limburger cheese and braunscheiger sandwich . Dont forget to indulge in the fresh fried cheese curds and cream puffs the size of your head.

Wow....the biblical order of authority is clear. So many assumptions and derived meanings of these passages. Totally ignoring Gods perfect created differences and roles of men and women. Doesn’t matter what “seems crazy to you”......what does God’s word say!!! The priests in the Old Testament simply didn’t want the arc of the covenant to fall to the ground..so the tried to catch it (therefore touching it. Directly against Gods instructions) and God STRUCK THEM DEAD!! That “seems crazy to me”...but He gave specific instructions and they were disobeyed! Gods ways don’t have to make sense to you! We are called to OBEY! Plain and simple!!

I agree with your comment. What strikes me about that verse is that he sais women don't teach men because Eve sinned first. When someone explaines that verse it has to explain why he brings up Eve sinning first. It also takes it out of being a Corinthian issue. Even though Jesus came women still are the moms and men are the dads maybe some of the gender confusion comes as a result of the church not following the head of the churches (Jesus) teaching.

I agree with you, Nikki. When you get a group of Christians following "what seems right to them", rather than what God's Word says, you're in a similar position as is mentioned at the end of the book of Judges - "In those days there was no King in Israel, everyone did what was right in his own eyes."

Church History tells us that the Corinthian Church lasted for 100's of years. They had tons of problems but they listened to Paul's instruction. So there is hope for us all.

In the midst of all the these discussions are lessons on how we can apply the Bible teachings to our own lives with the strength of the indwelling Spirit of God. Not in legalism, but powered by the Love we have for Jesus. "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." ~ John 14:15
