problem with our sport is when these coaches do question officials they get fined even tho we all know ref standard is shocking in the super league and they should be looked at very closely
@ajay-ul2bf Жыл бұрын
Yep the officials get no accountability for anything lol while the coaches get a fine for even a hint it's a joke, 2 years later and they are no better it says it all when you can name three main staple refs BY NAME we all know who they are 😂that ref every week whether it's the game you wanna see your club or a different one they always have shockers 😂guess it's just a UK thing shocking officials overall no matter the sport!

Everything in Rugby League is a gimmick. The team names; Warriors, Rhinos, Bluesox, Summer Rugby, Super Duper League, Magic Weekend, Club Call, Grand Final. Literally everything. What people want to see is, a league championship, the challenge cup, maybe a john player/regal trophy - played consistently every year with free flowing Rugby. Not watch 13 meatheads play one up rugby with the chance to win the League Leaders Shield.

The biggest example of losing their cool wasn't on that list. James Graham in St Helens vs Leeds was once so dusgusted, he refused to shake hands at the end of the match & stalked away refusing to have anything to do with his own team.

Disappointing to see how much of this is aimed at either off-field politics, or referees - neither of which should ever be the talking points of the game. That’s why I’ll always have heaps of time for Paul Wellens at 02.40 - responsibility firmly at the door of the players. Which is how it should be.

I think it's a disgrace that coaches and players get fined for speaking their minds and telling the truth about how they feel regarding major decisions by some incompetent referees. Some of these decisions can cost clubs hundreds of thousands of pounds and even more in the million pound game, not to mention major trophies. I know referees are only human, and we can all make mistakes, especially in a sport as fast and furious as Rugby League. But stopping coaches giving their honest opinion by threatening them with huge fines is disgusting. It's treating these highly professional and knowledgeable people like children. I wish the rugby league and the referees would occasionally hold their hands up and admit when they have made massive wrong decisions and mistakes or, at the very least, let these highly professional coaches & players give there honest opinion without the threat of major repercussions. Anyone who follows Rugby league knows that these coaches & players are not moaning and crying about every decision (unlike in football!!) They are the most honest and humble individuals I have ever seen. So when they have a legitimate grievance, please allow them to say what they honestly think and stop treating them like children. Also, I wish the rugby league would be more transparent & admit to us when they feel the referee has got major decisions wrong. Because that is another thing that must infuriate the coaches, it definitely infuriates the fans when the rugby league seems to defend the referees no matter what and treats them with immunity, as if they can do no wrong and when they do get major decisions wrong, it appears the rugby league just shrug their shoulders & say, whatever, so what, our ref's walk on water and can do no wrong, And don't you dare disagree with us!!!!!
