Respect to the opposing team each time a player was hanging in the air upside down by his shorts the tacklers always wait until he's in a safe position before making the tackle.
@fireinthehale96953 жыл бұрын
Yeah but technically it's the rule. You can't tackle the whoever holding the ball while he's on air. That's why they waited until he's on the ground.
@TPRM12 жыл бұрын
@@fireinthehale9695 true but I’m pretty certain the first Beast one was the first time it had ever happened - no-one was thinking what the ruling would be, they just instinctively waited till he was down safely (the first guy actually helped him down, I think, before going for the ball).

I'm American, and I've never really seen Rugby before, I mean I kind of knew what it was, but never watched it. These highlights are making me want to pay more attention to Rugby. I have never been a big American Football guy, but I love Basketball and Hockey... I think I'm starting to like Rugby too =)

Tell you what...bouncing players from a standing start is hard enough. And international players even harder. Forwards are even harder. See 5.05 Irish front rower. Well done sir. Flank lock and 8th cleared.

As an American more familiar with the NFL, it's odd to see players not spearing themselves headfirst at full speed into the ball-carriers. With the high injury rate and long term brain trauma commonly seen in the NFL, watching Rugby players with no helmets lends credence to the theory that all the armor and especially the helmets end up causing more injury due to recklessness.
@Menacinggg3 жыл бұрын
In rugby you aren’t allowed to make any tackles above the shoulders to preserve your head. Theres a big technical side to running into players and tackling and having it be as safe as possible for both players. Some of the players, especially the smaller ones do sometimes wear a second skin which provides a bit of protection to your torso and shoulders.
@goodshipkaraboudjan4 ай бұрын
Yes and no, there is still a high injury rate in rugby and seeing players get smacked in the head by a shoulder or especially a knee in a tackle isn't uncommon. There was an ugly one in the match today between South Africa and Australia where a player got his chest compressed getting caught between two other players running at full speed.

What about Kaino lifting the guy up and carrying him back into the field of play from behind the try line.
