They should do modular planes and then stop messing up equipment and actually rework diplomacy and AI decisions. Yalta conference is a nightmare every single time and the AI likes to open up a fourth front because it's not losing enough. Personally, I love the Tank System in No Step Back. Yes, It's a pain to build them, yes the Green Air is great, but I can't help but build really strong Mediums with lots of reliability, armor, and/or speed. I hope the tanks get a resurrection of their love again.
