Personally I hope Diplodocus is still a thing, I want a Sauropod with a very long whip like tail that's medium sized so it can still somewhat travel through forests and such but most of all I want it so it can still be hunted but not bullied. I'm kinda getting tired of all the pigmy stubbed up Sauropods they keep adding like Magy and Cama who are just kinda the same but slightly bigger or smaller from each other. Diplo is perfectly unique for the game. Also I hope its growth would be at least 5 to 6 hours since it'll probably be to slow to even be a threat to most things unless they attack first.

Yes, Diplo is one I want in the game, but never heard anything from the devs about it unfortunately. And I would imagine it being probably even longer than 5-6 hours as I think Rex would probably take that long right?

I hope growth doesn’t take that long for you to grow one of these things it reminds me of someone else commenting that with the time it takes to grow the larger playables of the roster it would take a week to grow no wonder the devs aren’t adding these things to the game yet I don’t think it would take that long but I also hope that babalings won’t be just killed off as easily as we think

What we know as like the image of Brachiosaurus is actually Giraffatitan. That's cause when first discovered Giraffatitan Brancai was classified as an African Species of Brachiosaurus. And for a while The Bodyshape we associate with Brachisaurus mostly stem from the misnamed GIraffatitan. So Brachi AI might be heavily based on Giraffatitan.

Fun fact: The dinosaur people imagine when they think of Brachiosaurus is actually Giraffatitan. This is because when originally discovered it was thought to be an African species of Brachiosaurus and since Brachio is poorly preserved a lot of its features were speculated to be similar to Giraffatitan. A good example of this is the iconic head of brachio not being what it actually looks like now that we discovered more material for it.

The biggest advantage and disadvantage sauropods have is their size. Everything from growth times to mobility + attack cool downs have always been slow. I'd expect no difference in terms of those challenges trying to play one. Competition for food for these guys might just be enough to control numbers. Might even make perfect diet and migration zones even more important in the future as a long time ago when we were still on the spiro map. A dev mentioned sauropods will shape forests I guess by clearing paths through them and pushing tree's down for food. This could provide new plants + food sources for smaller herbs, also creating great ambushing opportunities for herrera. It would also be cool if foot prints filled with water during heavy rain providing a temporary water source for young. Tbh I think I'll be 30 by the time I even see a new concept art or model for one of these guys lmao sad times.

That would be really cool, the puddle footprint 👣 It will for sure be a very long time till we even see one of these guys appear :') and I doubt a server will ever have many of these giants around but that's why I hope they bring out enough AI with it

From what I know the sauropods planned for evrima are Camarasaurus, Brontosaurus, Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus, and Magyarosaurus. Puertasaurus was scrapped supposedly, and is being replaced by Brachi

They should make brachiosaurus both playable and ai like teno, and make it's growth rate so fast wich is accurate to the real life animal. Also I think it'll be better if they make it's juvie stage run faster than the adults like deino until it gets big enough to defend itself

There's a thought of mine that I would greatly appreciate if implemented, and that's sauropods being omnivorous to some degree. Like, maybe when starting out as a juvenile, it can eat bones or even be able to swallow any herras or pteranodons if the player is large and lucky enough. Mimicking how giraffes sometimes eat bones and birds.

@@ucjgaming Almost every ungulate eats cadavers if given the chance. Cows eat rabbits and pidgeons often enough to be caught on tape regularly.

@@ucjgaming I think it would be interesting to include this and the near equivalents; Eating certain plants as a carni to help with infections and diseases, consumption of minerals by licking rocks and eating dirt is another way many animals supplement their diets. In the long run it would be interesting, but not essential I think.

Of course they can die, it will be a challenge, just because it's not easy to kill doesn't mean it's not good. Also they won't be killing everything else as they won't be fast, easy to escape

Honestly large sauropods in the game don't seem viable at all, if you look at the current map and the walkable areas, it just doesn't work. With all the mountains ranges and tiny roads and incredibly dense forests you literally can't have large sauropods roaming around freely, unless they decide to change the map. Once you grow large enough you're just gonna be stuck in one place.

Yeah I get ya, it would be hard for them to maneuver. But I know they are adding to the map and changing it, I would hope they would make it better for them

Didn't they say that Brachi would replace the Puertasaurus? And fun fact, Camas used to be, a lot more bigger, in the beggining of the isle, previous Legacy. Anyway, except Magy, I hope that sauropods are neither all-powerful titans, nor made of paper. considering the implications that sauropods are strong and powerful, or at least that's expected. So on average, 6-7 hours to grow your long neck, surely. What will surely make up 70% of the sauropod players' gameplay will be growing the animal, and 30% walking and looking for fights until they die by (insert way to die here). In other words, the stego gameplay but bigger. So I hope that when it arrives, there will be various activities, such as mutations, to carry out, differentiating juveniles from adults quite a bit, either by behavior or area, until they become behemoths, or, as I envision, we will see thousands of people complaining that their long neck, It does not survive because it is susceptible to dying from everything, as long as it is x size, and growing another is boring. And as a crazy idea... a way of be like, movable environments or something like that? for example, Herras or Pteras, can land on them and at least, cling, would be cool.

I haven't heard about Brachi replacing Pue, but instead that Brachi will only be AI, but we shall see! And I like the idea of smaller dinos being able to cling on them, would be cool!

When sauropods get added to Evrima I bet no one will play them or barely anyone will since the growth time will be ABSOLUTELY atrocious and the amount of food you will need just to sustain yourself would be even worse especially when you consider that these guys will be incredibly slow

Yeah I bet they would be slow and require a lot of food, but that's at least realistic. They will probably grow pretty quick to sub adult and then slow down, and I'm sure they will be able to go a fair while without food. And in the end it really just depends on how well the devs make the game 😅

I was doing research on this all before I did the video, and all I saw about pue was the remodel was confirmed and nothing about Diplo, but your the second person telling me this 😅 Well I guess if it's all true then that's great news, but a shame for Pue!

@@ucjgaming Puerta was a lost asset from a game called the stomping land. It was first of all this huge bc they scaled the model on a way too large size, then a new model (the Brachiosaurus) was made which was also adjusted to the according size which is significantly smaller than pue used to be yet ginormous enough for the biggest terrestrial playable/AI. Diplodocus was confirmed to be put in the list of playables by dondi in a clip from a stream with dondi and I think hypno or so (which was the one to ask him). it was mentioned that this is also very importan due to it having a very predominant tail hence it is gonna be a good addition to also show off the new tail-physx . then there was a brontosaurus-model in the past which tbh i think they mightve scrapped since phenotypical there isnt much anatomical difference between diplo and bronto except bronto being thicker and larger. then there was the smaller, faster and partly armored one (ostioderms ya know) which was magyaro. meant to be edible for only few carnivores with tough bellies since magy is supposed to eat an array of toxic plants and then there was good old camarasaura, the more swift yet heavy chonker also for I think seaweed grazing etc. and one which is indirectly a sauropod since prosauropods where the predecessors. that one would be plateosaurus you can thank me later ^^

Pue isn't coming, and suropods grew very fast IRL so the same time for smaller apexs would make sense

Gonna be a long time b4 we see these guys. you could release this video in 2 years time and it would still not be out. There will be so many places these guys cant get to due to there size no walking through jungles you gotta go around and you know that will take forever with these slow guys.

Well actually Giraffititan was originally thought to be Brachiosaurus when it was first discovered since Brachiosaurus at the time didn’t have very much to go off of but with further finds of Brachiosaurus specimens it was found that they were two different species of sauropods and they aren’t just similar looking due to filling a similar ecological niche their actually distinct relatives and the defining characteristic of Giraffititan was its unique nose so those old reconstructions of Brachiosaurus are actually old depictions of Giraffititan even the Jurassic Park design of the animal when it was thought to be the same species

Funny part sauropods one of the dinosaurs that grows fastest from what we know a sauropod would grow fast and be unbeatable when adult and not too slow unlike media depicts them sauropods were quite fast conpared to what we think of them i would love sauropods to be take super long to reach full adult but reach sub quute fast but be mega weak till sub and after sub they would be slightly stronger then apexs but not unbeatable but when full adult/elder they would be unbeatable yet not too slow so they can traverse the map easyer

See I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking about speed like rhinos,gaurs,elephants, hippos and rhinos are pretty well known for how fast they are despite their large body size which makes sense to me the more muscle mass the more distance you can cover in a short amount of time I can imagine a younger sauropod being able to chase you at a decently fast pace
