I remember that train accident with those teen girls. They lived in the same area of Utah I use to live in. It occured in Spanish Fork Canyon, Utah. Michael Anderson was the train conductor and John Anderson was the engineer of the train. Savannah Webster age 13 who was the youngest of the three girls did not die instantly like the two 15 year old girls did. The two 15 year olds were ripped to pieces on impact and thrown all over the track and gravel. John Anderson held Savannah Webster in his arms while Michael called for help. He held her til first responders showed up. She was unconscious the entire time and suffered from multiple severe fractures and a massive brain injury. She passed away 3 days later in the ICU. Both the conductor and engineer had major PTSD after the incident due to witnessing the train annihilate 2 of the girls instantly and seeing Savannah with horrific injuries to her face, skull, torso and limbs. Savannah never regained consciousness before she passed away. That accident was all over the local and national news. Hundreds of people showed up for their funerals. The two older girls had to have closed casket funerals due to the amount of damage done to their bodies. There is still ribbons and a memorial near the tracks where they died. Felt terrible for their families who went through hell after their deaths.

@@queencerseilannister3519 I grew up in Spanish Fork, and my little sister was friends - not close, but friendly - with one of the girls. The area where they lived, Covered Bridge, trains go by all of the time. But, 99% of the time, it's one train on one track going one way at a time. Many other residents of Covered Bridge have said that they don't recall ever seeing two trains go by at the same time because of the schedules. The girls were standing in between the two sets of tracks. What most likely happened (and they didn't survive to tell us, but it makes sense) is that they saw the first train. Since they were used to that kind of thing, and other local teenagers had done similar things before, they continued to take pictures, and most likely either didn't hear the other train in time to get out, or they figured that since they were safe with the first train passing, and they weren't on the tracks, it would be ok to stay where they were. I will say that these weren't stupid kids. Young, yes. Naive, yes. But stupid? No. They made a series of decisions that in other circumstances would have been reasonable to make, but they ran into some really horrible luck, and it ended in absolute tragedy. I know that the residents of Covered Bridge and Spanish Fork as a whole were devastated by this accident, and it was a true accident.

There's something about train tracks I find spooky. Many years ago, my friends and I were returning from school. To get home, we needed to cross a train track. We were deep in conversation as we began our crossing oblivious of an oncoming train. The strange thing was that people were screaming at us from afar to get off the tracks as a train was approaching. For some reason, we were all deaf to their cries. Fortunately, one of us looked sideways and that was when she shouted and we all saw it and ran as fast as our legs could carry us. It was a close shave with death. I am happy we survived that incident.

It's actually quite the opposite most of the time. People are really insecure and need the validation of others to feel valued. Don't think it is all people taking selfies though. I mean, sometimes there is just no one else around to take a picture of you, so you gotta do it yourself.

@@terran236 I agree, but still you got t have confidence
@terran2363 жыл бұрын
@@michaelcampos683 confidence is self evident. Confidence is the complete opposite of Egotistical. Egotistical people are hollow. Those who are confident dont need to go around parading bullshit pictures of themselves no one cares about. I know several people who dont even have a facebook or instagram. Frankly those people are smarter and less egotistical than most of these narcissistic idiots. It's maddening that these fucking idiots get other people killed for stupid bullshit.

How awful for all of them! The SpongeBob one just seemed really tragic to me. RIP to all the victims🕊.

natural selections like that can be avoided with education. i love the thing with the stray dog and that they had to tranquilize the bear. Really love it. They didn’t kill the animal

This is the problem now a days people are just so in love with themselves and it's not just young people I know people in their 60s who post every single mundane thing they do on Facebook. I really don't care to see a picture of what you eat for dinner.

When taking the perfect selfie becomes more important than your own safety, then every single person in this video got what they deserved. Survival of the fittest. All of these are just common sense! You do NOT put a gun to your head, take a selfie with a bear, jump on top of an electric train, take selfies while driving 45 mph, pull a pin out of a grenade, hold a metal rod in a lightning storm, etc., etc., etc.!!
@krististevens543223 жыл бұрын
The train one... it's bad when 1 person is so vapid and narcissistic, but 3 in one setting when a train is seconds away going full blast. Common Now!...

I could never understand the idea of selfies. I can understand that the more extreme the selfies are, the more views they’ll usually get, but it really doesn’t seem worth it. It really seems like for people who take the selfies consistently forget that the area or animal they take it with could get them very hurt or even very *dead.*

I've noticed a trend. Popularity kills. Doesn't matter what age in history, the need to get famous always turns deadly. Just think back to when somebody did a stunt, like hang upside down on monkey bars or go down a snowy hill where there's cars speeding below, just one little slip could have killed somebody. And maybe it did. Monkey see, monkey don't. So don't worry about getting popular or recognized in person or online by others. You're safer not doing stupid shit.
