She had a satellite phone and GPS transmitter.... that's WAY more prepared than most hikers. There may be a reason that starting a fire just didn't work in her situation. They did mention bad weather. If you're trapped in a snowy place with no trees or only wet wood, it will be really hard to get a sustained fire going. She would have needed a tent, a winter sleeping bag, and maybe a propane camp stove. You can carry all that in a backpack, but if you're a hiker who doesn't expect to be staying overnight, you would see those things as dead weight. She probably thought the satellite phone was sufficient in an emergency. She didn't sound stupid, just very, very unlucky.

@olivebrosnan4437 Жыл бұрын
@@melodiechartier5173 actually if you researched the bikini hiker you would know she did it as a dare and would actually go into professional hiking gear before changing into bikinis to take a photo. When she died she wasn’t in a bikini but hiking gear, she passed out from hypothermia. The real story you should be looking for is the crash at crush. Imagine this for entertainment; a live train crash, deliberate train crashes were pretty much a thing of the past however the crash at crush was the most notorious one because some people died and some were even injured. The boilers in both trains exploded which shrapnel spewed out onto the crowd, it easily turned into a war zone. However this didn’t stop deliver train crashes as a form of entertainment, people even got burned from picking up debris as a souvenir. This wasn’t a case of a drive for fame but it was what you’d call “ignorance” and “stupidity” Throughout generations we see stupid shit happen but we should still not go saying these people deserved it just because of their actions, it was a simple mistake or judgement - some people are bolder or curious than others. While curiosity killed the cat, that cat probably had a better life than the other cats.

Just read a few articles about Gigi. She was a very experienced hiker and the whole bikini thing started as a dare. Her death led to a 23 million dollar overhaul of the trails in that area. Renovated trails and cabins, warning signs, and new cell towers so you'll always be connected to the outside world in case something happened. She really changed the hiking world in Taiwan. Alot of yall are being really simple minded and rude. I haven't looked at any of the other people's stories but damn yall are so quick to judge. The girl on the crane recorded a video after the shift was over. No machine running or anything. After the video she was stepping down to get off the crane and missed a step and fell. She shouldn't have doing a video, I know, but missing a step can and has happened to many people. Video or not.

The one about Gigi is so sad to me, too. She wasn’t doing anything daring, she was simply hiking trails like she always loved to do. 7:50 This is probably one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard of. Pretending to rob someone in today's social climate is literally just asking to get killed. I'm kind of shocked it wasn't immediately labeled as a hate crime by the media. I mean, it wasn't a hate crime by any means but that's never stopped them before.

AVA LOUISE claims that it was a "luxury private jet" is BS. Small private jets have the bathroom in the back of the plane with the door near but off center on the full back wall. There is a door KNOB, NOT a slider and lock to open door that says "in use"with locks up high so children can't play with them. That is not what luxury planes have on their doors. PLUS the toilet would not be facing the door from the tail of the plane to the door. Her door and toilet faced each other in a VERY small space. SORRY, but PLUMBING ON A PLANE does NOT route to the back of the plane at the tail. It comes from the SIDES and the toilet is mounted to the SIDE Of the plane. The sink put on the other side of plane facing the commode. If you could see through the wall with door at the back of the plane you would see the commode and sink facing each other from wing sides of the plane (left and right); if "seeing thru" the door wall you would see the wall has the door off center to make room for the commode on the larger side thus making the swinging open of the door not bump into anyone's knees, and the sink on the smaller length of the wall. Point is THAT WAS A PASSENGER AIRLINE, NOT a private plane. If it's a PRIVATE plane... PROVE THAT THE SEAT FACES THE DOOR IN THAT SMALL SPACE with no DOOR KNOB like you have at a home residence but instead on this private plane show it has a tacky slider lock that says "occupied" at eye-level height like the one in her video. She's a real toilet licker and I don't care if she poured bleach all over the room.. that is NOT going to get everything off of a public TOILET seat!
