I'm getting frustrated and angry just watching this! My exact words "It's going to be 55 degree's tonight, bring a sweater, do no bring a dress, don't ask me for my jacket" ..and SHE COMES OUT WITH A SMALL DRESS, A THIN SLEEVED TOP! She proceeds to shiver within 15 minutes, ask me for my jacket and I take her home. She says, "WTF, why are you bringing me home", my reply "because I'm FKN COLD and YOOOOOUUU HAVE MY JACKET". Here’s something unpleasant I learned the hard way: If you have a loved one that is so cold that three heavy blankets and a room that is constantly burning warm from all the life-sustaining apparatus that is working round the clock, is still not enough, then know that their heart is not pumping blood as it should be and that they will probably die before too long. In my late sister’s case (congestive heart failure), it wasn’t even half-an-hour. I doubt it was even 15 minutes. The ability to keep warm is a precious thing. Take advantage of it while you can. Sorry if this ruins the comedy, but I’m hoping someone will read this and if they are ever faced with a similar situation, they will be spared from having to learn about this phenomenon as it is happening.
