Hi Marcelo! To and for is sometimes a hard matter to understand, for us, which are Portuguese speakers. There are verbs that you have to use the preposition to ( listen to ..., talk to ..., give to .... etc). The example that Karina has given, kind of: I send an email to him (eu enviei um email para ele) and I send an email for him ( eu enviei um email por ele) is great. Another example: I called to my mom (eu liguei para a minha mãe), I called for my mom (eu liguei pela minha mãe, isto é, ela teria que ligar para alguém e eu liguei na vez dela). But sometimes is not easy, I agree!

This teacher made a mistake at 12:46,, she said “I have a very good teacher to recommend you” .This is WRONG. It needs to say “I have a very good teacher to recommend to you”. I hear foreigners say this frequently and it sounds very bad.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but you cannot say "I have an English class to you" - "for you" would be the correct form because 'for' in this case means something intended to be given to another person hence possession. 'To' is used for direction, time among other things. But definitely not for this sentence
