not too many have to pass an annual physical exam to keep their job, but as a CDL I did, and with blood pressure creeping up steadily higher with age each passing year it was getting more and more difficult to pass that physical exam. I saw the writing on the wall and began making catchup contributions at age 50, both IRA and 401k, retired at 56 on my own terms.
