Have you ever heard that the yellow sky means an approaching tornado? Before you start running away the second you see it, you might want to know it's not the only reason why the skies might be of that color. Dust storms, pollen, smoke in the atmosphere... In fact, any kind of storm cloud may cause the sky to look eerily yellowish. The clouds scatter the short-wave blue light coming from the Sun, and from our perspective on Earth, the sky might look yellow.
