If my experience at playing this game for 20 years has taught me anything, it is this: If your opponent doesn't have an Extra Deck, be on alert. Because if they think they can take you on without one...they're clearly up to something.

Can be used as tribute fodder for the monarchs/Majesty's/Vanity's Fiend. If opponent did not summoned jowgen.

The opponent had no extra deck and even if he did, Albaz's effect activates on summon so booking him at that point wouldn't do anything.

The opponent was trying to target Majesty Fiend so he could stop the attack and use monster effects, not realizing (or reading) that March of the Monarchs prevented him from targeting it. The original aim never was for Albaz, that was simply a consequence of having to still choose a legal target since there was the ability to do so. Hence the part with Kratos shortly after.
