You should go to keyboard settings, select Spider-Man settings on the top left, and enable manual swinging. it allows you to aim where you swing from with the reticle and gives you full freedom!

The critical difference was that one was made to be an exclusive for 1 console which caused the devs to rush it(and they confirmed this) while the other is available for all which encouraged the devs to put more thought into it.

Bro, that swinging STILL looks bad idk WHAT yall talkin bout ( respectfully) it looks more "snappy" but still jank as helll. The wall running looks fine in rivals but that's about it. In both games it looks like he should be clearing a greater distance but the map is too small for him to do so thus ALL momentum just stops. Its like what would happen with the Flash in these type of games. Where the animation looks like his feet are hitting the ground 300 time but hes only clearing a one city block cuz he can't leave the team behind. Like sped up the character animation but they are still slow. Edit: I'm not saying you can't still enjoy it. It's arcade more then realistic which is totally fine. They just don't look very convincing. It IS game afterall.

One thing to keep in mind is that in Rivals his webs actually attach to buildings. The actual physics are still unclear to me, tho. I hope I get into the Beta at the end of the month so I can fully review it for myself. I'm obsessed with swing mechanics in video games, especially Spider-Man games.

Alpha player here, spider man only has 300 health which isn’t a lot he’s very squishy too so he dies very fast. Depends on aim skill he’s pretty easy to shoot down 😅
