The seam lines are horrendously handled. on the 2099 suit the lines are this horrible really bright pale blue, very contrasting to the suit, and the scarlet spider has all these random red plates and lines that are so bright compared to the fabric they are on, and it is a completely bad redesign of the scarlet spider considering its origin. the scarlet spider costume is meant to be homemade by a clone of peter who would have not much to his disposal. that’s why the hoodie has this rough ripped look to the edges and the red section is just a red body suit, but in this game the hoodie is all neat and perfect and the red is all armour plated and ugly. so i disagree. in the 1st game, these features were hardly noticeable, therefore okay renditions but scarlet spider was still unfaithful.

@@Kai-the-guy well what you say about the 2099 suit is objectively wrong, nowhere on the suit is there “pale blue lines” . Go and look at it again. If there is anything to criticize, it’s the fact that the suit is blue and not black. And the Ben Reilly suit looks nice. I don’t think comic book accuracy really matters when the comic it’s based on is complete dogshit like the clone saga. And nowhere on it has “armor plates”. Are you playing the game on a 720 resolution monitor? Where are you seeing these things ?

Heres a comprehensive list of the Symbiote suits that SHOULD have been added: 1. Poison from the Other What if story 2. Venomverse White Poison *3. Back in Black Spiderman* from when he fought Red Goblin(made by the SAME artist who designed Miles carnage suit...which IS IN THE GAME btw😐) 4. Eddie Brock's Spiderman suit *5. Superior Venom* *6. It's ironic to me that in a game that involves symbiotes so heavily, only EIGHT of the 90 suits in the game are symbiote variants (not counting recolors). FIVE for Peter, and THREE for Miles (including the anti-venom suit). They MIGHT be saving more symbiote suits for the Carnage DLC (IF we even get one.), but it really bums me out that we get so little.

I think I realized that I just don’t like it when Spider-man has his hair coming out through his mask, I just don’t think it works for Spider-Man cuz it kinda ruins the whole “secret identity” thing a little and it doesn’t really look that good to me. It worked for heroes like Invincible and Kid Flash because they also had an opening for their lower face so the hair looked less awkward (and don’t get me wrong, those are just as bad, if not worse for a secret identity, it I just think they made it look cooler)

I can almost guarantee the reason so many comic book suits are being left out is cause Miles lacks the alternates Peter would have. Miles has options but at some point he’d run out, and they’d go to Peter just Peter. A black on white color palette does work well. As seen with the future foundation suit. The problem is that they don't do good enough color breakup on the palette-swapped symbiote suits. This is something the Future Foundation suit does well, which is why it looks so damn good.

I think they’re trying to get you to indirectly prefer miles in your head. Miles has smoother moves and flips except that slight flailing when swing, better and more useful abilities that look good and not out of place when using any suit, less crappy suits, and no character flaws. Like the dude is the best. I think they’re doing this so when they get rid of Peter in the next game for some dumb reason you wouldn’t mind as much. Might just be overthinking it though

The reason you find black white on black more appealing to the eye than the opposite I'd because of the way they interact with light, black takes in light, while wite reflects it, that's why white feels more glaring to the eye than black is, this is also the reason why a lot of things use dark backgrounds for important moments in scenes, it not only looms nice but also keeps the focus on the characters in said scene (im trying to be a game dev/ animator thats why i know this shit)

You said it near the end there, if Insomniac want to do original suits, and want to keep a balance in suit numbers between Peter and Miles, give miles a bunch of original designs and give peter suits from his extensive back libary. As a fan of the "superhero costume made of clothes" asthetic, I do love the Metro suit, particularly recoloured into either Miles or Peter's colours (the red and blue kinda feels like an update to Miles' original outfit; instead of a halloween costume, he put togeather a suit out of spidey merch) and I'm wondering if they included Last Stand because it subscribes to the same asthetic and they thought they'd go togeather.

The Miles colour palette for the Metro suit honestly makes it look like a beginner raimi miles suit and the end suits looks like what he would upgrade to when he becomes a bit more experience. Which one do you prefer? Do you prefer the miles pallets for the Metro or default the end suit as a raimi miles suit

The uptown pride suit was literally my main suit for miles in his game as its a great look for him without reinventing the wheel, also I earned it by looking out for the neighborhood which is what a spiderman is supposed to do, that along with the prowler and 2099 suits are my fav in that game

Still bums me that the Spider-Man Unlimited suit isn't in jack shit. I know that series was a weird oddity that got canned in it's first season because no one was watching it, but I just really like that suit and it sucks that it's in like 3 games. With some small tweaks it would've fit right in with the other animated suits.
