Wow I am amazed by the way that you explain God's character and that He is not a transactional God but instead a unconditionally loving and abundantly patient Father❤ thank you Ruth thank you God for her lovely and soothing voice

I am typing this with tears in my eyes because this is exactly what I needed to hear…I have been striving so hard to fix all my problems with my marriage, my mental and physical health, my finances and more. I’ve felt for most of my 47 years of life that I need to earn God’s love first and then my life will get better. I thought I knew what surrendering to Jesus meant but now I know….I need to cease striving first in order to truly surrender to my Savior. Thank you, Ruth. God bless your ministry 🙏🏼

Obviously if Jesus was enough to fill one's humanity scorecard, it would be enough. But, alas, it is not. To believe that it is, is essentially to not know the depth of human character and creativity and what self-betterment and growth can bring to an individual. People need challenges. So unfortunately this is overwrought and presumptive. A theological rationale that would substitute for human purpose and achievement is not an advantageous approach to living one's best life going forward. Why some Christian thinkers are locked and loaded on this kind of short-circuited and truncated approach to living shows how incomplete and substantively lacking in understanding what work's best for human striving and accomplishment. All human effort to write, compose music, literature, architecture, and everything else of value including human relationships would be rendered null and void to the religionists who harbor this particular mindset. We can do better.

You are wrong. JESUS will always be enough not only to save us, but also to sustain us. We cannot do anything without HIM!

@@he.is.worthy742 Actually my voice is very pleasant-sounding, especially when singing as I am trained in that. So yes, it's not bad to listen to and that according to those that have heard it. But you'll never know since all you've got are words printed up on a meaningless page

I'm not sure that this is true... she addresses this in her book in the later chapters. It's about perspective. Using the gifts we've been given with a sense of purpose would still happen but without all of the stress and anxiety and whatever else goes along with that. I think you may be misunderstanding her message which is definitely easy to do if you're basing it off only the first video of the series

@@pschmidt6402 You say - 'Using the gifts we've been given with a sense of purpose would still happen but without all of the stress and anxiety'. That's all good to know, if that was actually how it happens. My take on this is that if you're under the gun, always questioning if you are doing this right, should I be doing that, Is this OK, is that enough, should I be better and on and on occupying every waking moment in the day, one's entire existence would be taken up with constantly being on the 'edge'. This could increase stress and anxiety instead of lessen it. What kind of self-acceptance can be achieved with that approach to living?? Having perspective and living in such a way that is rooted in achievement and self-love are worthy of utmost consideration, without violating the rights of others as you proceed. Or self-flagellation, self-lacerations, and even self-hatred will come as a result.
