Just heard you playing this. You have made my day. What a wonderful interpretation of this Standard Jazz Tune. Play this sound on any radio station today and get rid of Heavy Metal and Rap and we will once again learn to Love Music the right kind of Music. thank you

Thanks, I record the sax on top of a good quilty backing track into Apple Logic software. I am videoing myself doing this on a digital camera. The resulting video is muted, and the audio file from logic is added to this as a soundtrack.

Beautiful playing of a beautiful song. I have an Otto Link Tone Edge 7* and I can't get it to sound the way you do. But I'll keep trying after seeing/hearing the sound you're able to coax out of it. Thanks for putting this song up.

Hi Ian, good to hear from you, and thanks. Yes, I use logic express too, its great, have you found that adding a little compression works wonders to the sax? Not too much... but it makes it stand out a little more. This is a Hal Leonard play-along, part of a set that makes up the real-books. Amazon sell them for about £16 a set of three CDs. Four sets make up each real book (Vol 1+2, no music included). So I guess I spent £100+ on them, but well worth it for practicing.

Hi Matthew, yes I found that a touch of compression improves my sound. I'll have a look at the Hal Leonard material. I use mostly Band-in-a-Box Real Tracks to make my own backing tracks. I was using Aebersold before that. I'll maybe Ebay my Aebersold stuff and buy some Leonard. Happy New Year!

Hi Mathew, Stan Getz and Paul Desmond are coming through you. I love your voice like interpretation. Sonny Stitt destroyed this song.
