"That's the English for you - savages!" Sorry nice English people - and I am friendly with a few - but sometimes you need to hear the truth! You don't get it often enough, but if there was a suitable place to get it from, it's Derry Girls. Je t'aime d'Ecosse! ❤

You’ve got some really great shows in the UK, but why do they only last one or two series?
@andrewjones5752 жыл бұрын
Many are too short. However, many last 4 series or more, including: Only Fools & Horses, One Foot in the Grave, Men Behaving Badly, Peep Show, The IT Crowd, Friday Night Dinner & Drifters.

They prefer quality over quantity and it actually makes sense. People love, respect and rewatch them. Better going out gracefully than being heckled out by the same fans out of boredom. But yeah, Derry Girls deserved a closure.
@andrewjones5752 жыл бұрын
@@ericbana191 Yes, there's no ending to DG. We don't know what qualifications the main characters gain, whether they go to university, nor what jobs they want to do. We don't see any of them have love lives.
@andrewjones5752 жыл бұрын
@@nadanilchzero Many fans said they wanted Erin & James to get together. Ending that at one kiss is inadequate. They could be much more ready for adulthood by having love lives, good qualifications & knowing what occupations they want to do. None of them ever say what they want to do with their adult lives.
@khajasyed23852 жыл бұрын
@@andrewjones575 sometimes it is more meaningful to give a satisfying sad ending than unsatisfactory happy ending. Derry girls remind us our childhood to very core with facts spoken out than in mind. And they may turn out to be normal women nothing much than a traditional normal women.

I hate the audio censoring. If this is for US marketing reasons, that is the wrong way. Swearing is a substantial part of the comedy narrative.
