Same could be said about any stationary weapon or vehicle in bf5 and bf1. U need more than 1 person to operate a tank,more than 1 for artillery,more than 1 for a machine gun. U have to sacrifice realism for fun some times

I'm a medic main, and I always love to build little field hospitals in that game. Just a place to go to heal up when the objective is being attacked. I don't really like BFV, but I love the fortification building.

Agreed, the building was easily my favourite part of the game. Would love BF1 with the same kind of system, being able to dig your own smaller trenches, mortar pits, etc.

Building is easily the funnest part of that game for me. Especially trenches. I often just run around building things, if it helps my team or not. BF1 would be fun with building too, but I don't think it needs it, though the idea of digging huge trench lines in that game across the map does sound intriguing.

It's always bugged me that the machine gunner can build emplacements and fortifications faster than the engineer. I thing BF5 was the first of the franchise to never be fully "finished" by the end of its life

This does remind me of the LindyBeige video about this 1942 battle where 21 anti-tank guns all by themselves were up against a 100 tanks in a daring last stand. Except of course that they had to figure out precise shots and angles and weren’t shooting and reload as if its a handgun.

Reminds me of my days in Planetside 2 fighting as an engineer. Would move with a squad alongside a tank and just repair it on the move. If we had to hunker down my automatic shotgun made short work of anything coming through the doorway. And if that wasn't enough, the chaingun turret was great because I could build it and then let someone else run it while I covered a flank or provided ammo for the rest of the unit. Good times, good times.

This video is why I prefer Hell Let Loose. BF5 is so arcady - nothing wrong with that as long as that's the gameplay you prefer. I prefer something a little more realistic. In HLL, if people walk in front of you when you fire, they get turned to paste. :P

Fortification building was the funnest part of the game for me. Yeah I can mick up an LMG or MMG and pin people down. Or pick up a shotgun and waste like 5 people. But I always felt happiest when I was just making fortifications! And theres nothing like some idiot trying to sweat and kill you and you just murder them and go right back to building. Or have other people from the enemy team come over and be friendly! Game had potential to be okay but too many bad decisions killed it too soon.

Not only you can build a cannon anywhere you want, but the rotation is so fast, unlike BF 1 or Enlisted.

I remember some untouchable pilots on this map that would go the whole game without getting shot down, bombing the shit out of your team with insane kills on the scoreboard. Also Allied tankers, you can get a tank right at the start of the breakthrough and go the whole game without getting killed if you know the sweaty snipe spots.

I used to love just spending the entire match in a plane. I would very rarely get shot down but there was 1 game I played on this map where an enemy pilot killed me every time. I spent the entire game trying to beat him in a dogfight and I got very close 1 time but he always won.

@@BoundlessZeusYou pilots in this game were/are insanely skilled. An enemy pilot is wrecking your team so you try to shoot them down but no matter how hard you try they just outplay you every time. Even using AA they know all the tricks to stay alive. Some of the most skillfull gamers I've come across. I found when the Pacific released, it was another level of sweat, the pilots on Iwo Jima were just insane. 1 Zero pilot could halt an entire Marine team at the second stage of breakthrough. I was never able to upgrade the Mustangs or Zeros.

I used to terrorise aircraft with it, and if i had a friend in the air being tailed "bring them past" Used to run 1906 no assists on cosole against assist users for top percentile placements too. Loved it against snipers and all other firefights. Such a shame V's jumbled assets and gunplay made the skillgap so huge (so muxh of DICE had left before and during development), was seriously lacking in team support. What pushed me to Squad.

This is what happens when you have somebody that knows what they’re doing operating the right vehicle or in this case weapon system. The reload animation I feel is a little too fast. But overall, it’s not bad. Here’s hoping that the next battlefield game will be a winner because well they’ve had now two games that were commercial, I don’t wanna say “failures” but they greatly underperformed. First one obviously being battlefield five, which it’s problems started mostly because it’s initial reveal trailer and some very poorly thought out comments by a certain individual who will remain unnamed. And then obviously, we have 2042 which wow it’s reveal initially was a lot more well received a lot of it wasn’t from the specialists or whatever they called it thing. To certain other aspects. Frankly, I’m actually surprised that 2042 survived as long as it did.

a truly competent soldier who was always alert to avoid surprises. honestly I play like that too but in Battlefield 4. and the most real thing I saw in the video was the other allies standing in front of the cannon, there's always that one soldier who doesn't think about the team. There are times when it even feels like you're playing alone because of this.

Back in my bf1 days the artillery cannons werent on some hills with scopes, we had artillery pieces in random roads or hills, one of em was just in the d point of the desert map, and not only that but the scope was just a rectangular hole with a box that blocked most of your vision, and you could get shot through it somehow.
