3:25, actually, in southasia these toxic beauty standards also exist. all of my relatives would constantly tell me I was going to be able to marry a handsome, rich, man because of how my skin is lighter then your average southasian girl. you'll actually notice too that in most bollywood films, the upper-class people all are presented as people who have what they call "fair" (light) skin, whereas the lower-class people would have darker skin. you could literally have the most, what people call "ugly" facial proportions and still you're always going to be considered beautiful if you have fair skin.

Yeah, every time I see a beautiful YT singer I watch very carefully and sometimes I wonder how much filtering is going on. Now, I've been to Japan and to China, I've seen drop dead gorgeous Asian women in person, so I know girls can look like this in real life.
