World War Hulk is one of my favorite Marvel story. I love revenge stories. David is a really good story teller even though he chooses to omit some of the stories that makes it’s better. Damn, he’s such a good story teller.

I always loved how Namor, one of the biggest assholes in the Marvel Universe, was the only member of the Illuminati who was against launching Hulk into space. Say what you want about Namor, but he’s a man of honor. Him calling the rest of the Illuminati cowards and traitors for launching a man who’s fought by their side for years into space was awesome.

Mid 90's: DC "we wanna kill Superman, who can do it. The Hulk could, I guess. You know he belongs to that other company (writers pull a Hul - I mean Doomsday out their behind - bingo). "Okay about this guy." "WHo's that?" He's the like the H but with spikes" 😁. Early 2000's: Marvel " Okay, Hulk's coming back and gonna wreck most of our heroes. Who got that could stop him? It was Zom whom Doctor Strange called on for power which had him having to forfeiting his title of sorcerer supreme cause he called on and used an evil power source, man I wish I was buy you when you do these I have every body you don’t, though I’m missing Nemesis, Danger, Draken, Brood Queen, you know Black Panther was also art of the Illuminati and told them to go home and go be with your wives or significant others but they didn’t listen which led to World War Hulk then Secret Invasion which should be your next video, oh and he went after professor X too and broke Colossus arms bent them in the opposite direction forgot what he did to the professor. Great video and run down and loved the opening

Planet Hulk and World War Hulk is the reason I use the Diamond Select Immortal Hulk with my Marvel Legends figures. Some say he's scaled too large but I've always though that size was perfect. Also I love the What if? That came from this series where Hulk dies and his wife survives. She comes to Earth and does what Hulk did, except with out mercy.

Great video, David. Chef's kiss! You should do a follow up video showing the Hulk battling the X-Men and Juggernaut to find out how Professor X would have voted. And as a follow up to both World War Hulk and Civil War, show Thor's return and him also whooping Tony Stark's @$$ for not only making that clone of him, but betraying their friendship from the very beginning and the death of Bill Foster/Black Goliath/Goliath. I like that Reed tried to get the rest of the FF to leave because it’s not their fight. Black Panther and Storm(who were members of the team at the time) said, “idiot you made it our fight”. Then Sue says, “if you live, I’m going to give you some sh*t for this.” That’s a weird relationship. It’s either true love or they’re both really messed up.

As much as I enjoy every fight Hulk did in this series, the best would actually be on Gen Ross. He said a very short monologue why he hates Hulk and how stupid it is to recognize Hulk's heroism with an adamantium statue. So he too would give him an adamantium and hopes he chokes on it. I really don't know why I love that scene. It was so badass

The X-Men are in upstate New York, which is a pretty fair distance away from NYC. Combine that with the fact that the beginning of the X-Men tie-in shows Hulk making his announcement, and I imagine that the X-Men tie-in is supposed to take place before Hulk arrives in NYC but after he’s arrived on Earth.

@@unclecreed2986 1. Xavier wasn't actually there when the Illuminati shot Hulk into space, so Hulk went to go ash how Xavier would have voted. Xavier said he would have agreed to temporarily send Hulk to space, but that he would have voted against sending him to space permanently. So even though Hulk was still mad, he wasn't super pissed. 2. And yeah, all of the deaths made Hulk realize that the X-Men have already suffered enough.

I don't believe Professor X was there when the vote was taken to send Hulk into space although he said he would have voted yes, and Namor voted no I believe. Also have to remember Thor was dead during this time. Thor is the only other person who could stop Hulk, or at least warp him to another planet.

They did not have the Silver Surfer in WW Hulk of course because the power cosmic wielding former herald of Galactus once beat the Hulk by blasting him repeatedly with the power cosmic, once by sucking the juice out of him, and once by using the power cosmic to match the Hulk strength for strength. In fact, the only time the Hulk ever beat the Silver Surfer was in the Sakaar gladiator arena because the Surfer did not have access to the power cosmic with his slave disc and even the Surfer can't beat Hulk in a straight up fist fight.
