My cycle is Watch pipton for a while -> "wow TOS looks fun, I should play again" -> lose hard -> repeat The new player experience is rough, even if you've been watching videos for a long time. I have no idea how your brain works to figure everything out!

i agree that the new player experience is bad for this game. hate to be that guy, but the best thing is to just play more. i recommend keeping a note of everybody's claim and whatnot like pipe does. also i think theres a way to read what all the roles do in-game, and there definitely is a way when you get into a game by hovering over your role in the top right

I had a game last week where I was a confirmed Crus and for 2 days an exe was trying way to hard to get me hung. N1 I protected #7, who later turned out to be an enchanter, & they walked into an alert Vetern N1. D2 the exe tries to claim sheriff & calls me sus. I just post my will & both #7 & the vet confirm me but he still keeps trying & voted me during the voting time not that anyone else followed. D3 comes around, I'm still alive & the now confirmed exe is still trying to push me, the confirmed crus, as sus so town is just "Get the exe outta here" Exe get's hung & loses all cause he was trying way to hard to get a confirmed townie hung.

Jester is more opportunistic, doesn't need to keep track too bad. You can focus down a TI/trapper/tav and present conflicting info just once to win. It's a license to spout absolute garbage that a dep/pros/jailor won't immediately ding you for but secures the hang. All he needed this game was his ScumDetector5000 and to vote opposite of what he would usually.
