They locked in the Ascent meta for lower finals against TE too, and wrecked 2 very good teams on that map. I swear they were purposely nerfing themselves with non meta comps.

Yeah, and that one should've been the highlight because they didn't practiced much with the comp yet they destroyed a team that were very good on Ascent. Their util usage were on point it felt like watching a different team (aside from their typical aggressiveness style). I guess they were always trying to break the meta by over analyzing the meta comp and finding counter strats but eventually gave up because the map was going to be removed from the map pool anyway.

prx is pure example of how valorant changes, they used to just brainlessly rush a or b cuz they were skilled mechanically and just get away with it as if it was ranked but now have adjusted to playing quite well and keeping the enemy guessing while also individually popping of now and then. I guess on newer maps like abyss not much has really changed and it's still like ranked at vct but ascent is one of those actually well designed maps where having space and fighting for it matters.
