I love the animation. It's like you gave life to a painting and I felt all the turmoil of the situation. The scream of the phoenix startled me for a moment lol.

thank you so much!! i'm glad the tension was conveyed! since i've seen it so many times sometimes i can no longer tell if the film still comes across as being "serious" so i'm happy to hear that! you are also not alone in being startled by the phoenix scream, in the temporary sound track i would play for critique in class, the scream always startled everyone despite us knowing to expect it. though i had my sound designer tone it down so it's not as jarring anymore, i still find myself bracing in anticipation for it whenever i watch bonus fun fact: the scream was done by a friend of mine! a human made that sound!!

The way you were able to convey such a large story in such a short amount of time, and the backgrounds are so so so pretty and i love how they mesh with the more detailed characters thank u

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! telling a condensed story was definitely the hardest for me so i'm happy to hear it still feels grand despite only being around 4 mins long hehe, i'm really glad you enjoyed it!!

:') fun fact: for the longest time i had written "RAIN LOL" over the final shot because i hadn't gotten around to animating it so now all my classmates and i have to hold back our laughter at the end because we keep remembering it haha
