What a beautiful take on the spider. I am frightened of large spiders. However, some spiders are beautiful and on close photography I think their eyes are quite lovable. Who knows, maybe arachnophobes were insects who were a spiders meal in a far distant incarnation. I have just discovered your channel, your videos are awesome. I adore mythology.

Wait, so Athena felt bad for Arachne so she turned her into a spider? "I feel bad that you killed yourself, so let me turn you into a bug." ok xD Yeah, I definitely agree with the theory of homes being more beautiful so we associate spiders with being dirty. They do love our corners, you know? Then they don't even clean up their mess before moving somewhere else >:F The media does help spread the fears to people with movies surrounding spiders as the villains. And even though Spider-Man is a prominent figure who got powers similar to spiders, it still portrayed the spider coming down for no exact reason other than to bite him. I used to smash all the spiders, but now I kinda just let them hang around and clean up after them, unless they lay eggs. That's when they need to go.

Spiders give me joy. I miss the attitude of mythologies of old. I do think much of the fear of spiders today is because of the monsters our media has made them out to be. People learn a bias and it’s harder to let go. To me, spiders are beautiful and inspiring. A lovely video, though I must nitpick that spiders are not poisonous, they are venomous.

As scary looking as they are, spiders have a reason to exist here despite having a lot of people being afraid of them because of the look of the spiders.

As always a great video. It is bad luck to kill a spider in your house, once you do that a shit load of flys pop out lol. I knew the Greek mythology but I like the other ones better.

Mythoscope out of all of them, I like grandmother spider the most too. Kinda reminds me of skóll and the sun in Norse mythology but a more beautiful way why we have a sun rise lol

I know right? XD I've always been kinda wary of spiders, until I went to live on a farm for a few years. You get used to them so damn fast cause they're EVERYWHERE. The farmhands told me about Ananse the trickster spider. I fell in love with the stories and ever since have had a bit more respect for the little critters. But I still am a little wary, cause they do still bite -_-
