You're "lucky". Of our 4 diocesan exorcists, only 1 has the grace of exorcism of places and 1 solemn exorcism. The rest are just for the consecration of bread, salt, anointing oil, quite a sad state of affairs I just had to laugh it off for it now to weigh me down so back I'll get back to my depressive self. Still a demoniac waiting on my slot for a solemn exorcism though. Kindly include me in your prayers please. God knows who I am.

What he says make sense. My ex was always interested in other religious practices and invited a Buddhist monk to our house who could "see" the energy of the house. A few years earlier, a native medicine woman had also lived with us in our home for a summer, and she was always using smudge and other prayers, mixing with Catholic prayers. Even though we didn't have our house blessed on a regular basis like my mom and dad used to have the priest come once a year to do so, I always felt safe there, but not long afterward, so many bad things happened to our family. My husband never listened to me and always said, "All paths lead to God." Which is true in a certain way, but he reduced the level of my religion to the level of paganism, Islam, and Hinduism, etc. I even felt ashamed of "religious pride" which I felt was a part of all that experience. And he also frequently pointed out how the priests were caught in scandals that made him come to reject the Catholic church, which was so painful for me. Our children know practically nothing about our Catholic faith, and they are in their 30s now.

No, all paths DO NOT lead to God. It is only through Christ that a person is saved and no other way. To openly reject Christ is to reject salvation. Regarding the priests caught in scandal, you ought to tell your husband that the apostles didn’t forsake the faith because of Judas. The Church has been infiltrated by communists intent to destroy it so they probably were responsible for a lot of the scandal problems.

I believe this priest. I have heard of people selling satanic rosaries and other satanic or cursed religious items next to Catholic cathedrals/Marian sites/etc. It is important to bless everything (pray a blessing prayer) and/or have a priest bless them, look very closely to make sure there is nothing off.

I was a victim of these “oraciónes” this exorcist was talking about. I got sick one day during my visit to my grandma’s, and instead of bringing me to a medical practitioner, they hired a witch doctor to make a potion. He claimed to be a servant of St. Michael, so the 10-year old me allowed him to “help” me. He scribbled on a little piece of paper, rolled it, and placed it into a bottle of water from which I was told to drink. Instead of getting better, my colds got worse. So I was referred to another witch doctor who gave me the most unprofessional, most painful massage. But when I woke up the morning after, I could hardly open my eyes because my eyelids were shut with so much sand. Clearly my sickness worsened three times over. Strangely enough, when I flew back to my parents’ house, my ailments were all gone! Even to this days, my extended family practices the occult, even though they claim to be very fervent Christians. Please pray for them!

Dang still so many witchdoctors/albularyos in our country, for real. Anyway, if ever you interview Fr. Winston again, perhaps you can ask why not even any exorcist or the bishop of Manila is doing anything about the Chinese zodiac banner beside the altar of the Binondo church in Manila. It's been there for a year, big letters of 'Year of the Dragon brings blessing from heaven' written on it. Seriously syncretism is still prevalent in the country. Too many Filipino Catholics are ignorant of things exorcists warn us about, including other priests!

This story does not surprise me in the least. Having known what in-laws in the Philippines do in regards to “which doctors”, also known as “quack quacks”, I have often wondered if many of the their issues we a result of interaction with the witch doctors… despite being Catholic.

Witch doctors/healers/shamans/albularyos/baylans/santigwars are all humans that have spiritual powers/knowledge that comes from three different sources (Malevolent, Divine or Nature). They're not perfect but sometimes they can help people especially if the church cannot. That's why they're still popular in public. In the case of the video, these are no ordinary witch doctors since they have deeper motives to attack the people of faith. They can be classified as a cult for they have ambitions, dark ambitions.

Well not the best answer but prayers come with the intent. These witch doctors used the prayers as a trojan horse for their sinister plan. Now as to why despite the austere devout lives the nuns lived with and still got to experience such is a mystery we can leave to God. With how the Fr describes it, it was a good lesson not only for the nuns, but to all of us who sincerely practice the faith.

1. The prayers did not come from the Church 2. There was a tiny written ritual prayer hidden in the Shoulder Area. 3. These items were not blessed by a Catholic priest, hence, they are not Holy and Sacred. 4. The intentions were evil. Be careful when mixing these prayers with other prayers not approved by the Church.Our prayers should be approved by the bishop with imprimatur. 5. Most are frauds making money from the superstitious. But don't forget - demons need permission (because - Human Free Will - if you know anything about Catholic theology). So even frauds, or real practitioners, by casting spells, invoking spirits, offerings to "other gods" - all these are permission to demons to act. Now, you may say "but that is not my intention". Evil spirits do wreak havoc and make it their mission to prey on Christians and Christian institutions (or Islamic if you are a muslim). In fact, before one gains any power that leans towards the left or dark side, the first thing that the practitioner does is to abandon and desecrate Christian morals and items (sometimes Islamic - depending on your locality). In the Philippines, “diabolical witches” or witches that derive their power from demons practice sacrifice of blood relatives or even immediate family members, through means of witchcraft or black magic, in return for power or favor from their familiar spirits.
