I've been a skinny, pathetic, mentally ill weakling for the majority of my life. Before I started training MMA 8 months ago, I weighed just around 135 lbs (5'11). Now I'm 160. No fat, just lean, natural muscle. It came at a great cost. I had to cut out all the bad influences. Got off drugs, quit the party lifestyle, and cut contact with everyone I knew. All I did was work full time and train 20 hours a week. Now I have an amazing community that I truly belong to. I'm stronger, faster, I have more endurance, my confidence and overall state of mind has shot through the roof. I literally owe my life to my gym. This is just the start of my journey. I have a steep mountain to climb still, but at this point, I can't picture myself doing anything else. The benefits of regular intense exercise are like nothing I've ever felt. I'm so thankful for my coaches. Get out there and train.

I looked up who Zyzz is and I understand now, I feel that some part of his spirit hit me back when I was 16 (Currently 19) when I wanted to fix my weight problem (180 lbs and went to either 140 or 150 lbs in a month or 2) and hit me again back in the summer this year when I wanted to cut a habit I had by using pushups instead, now here I am doing 100 Push ups, 200 Sit ups, 35 Arm Curls (25lbs), 40 leg lifts and 10 pull ups 2 times a day, down to 139 lbs too with some pretty decently built muscles Point is everyone no matter who starts somewhere, you just need to find that spark to get you going and make sure to take care of your mental health on the way as well too, which is why I took a psychology class in college this semester

Went from 18.5% body fat to 12.6% in 2 1/2 months with a full body workout. Three times a week and up to 3 hours on training days. I'm gonna start a Split-Training soon to achieve even more. All that after my last break-up, which absolutely demolished my mental health and self worth. No matter what you are going through, we all gonna make it brahs and brahettes! Work for your dreams und concentrate on yourselves. Don't compare yourself to others or even think about being worth less than other people. We all have our stories, we've all been through tough times in our lives and these times will certainly not be the last, but you have to live in the present instead of looking back on the past or thinking too much about the future. You are beautiful in every way possible and yes, you are worthy of being loved and appreciated, no matter what anybody says. I love you all, brahs and brahettes!

In summer 2022, I weighted 110kg (220 pounds). I felt depressed, fat, sad, just a big bucket of guilt and self-rejection. I met an old girlfriend from highschool, who invited me in her town, in a remote area, for vacations. I spent 15 days in the mountains, helping her at the local market, doing heavy work, holding crates and bags of food, twice a day, waking up early and eating well. She also asked her friends to give me something to do in the fields and the gardens, to keep me busy. We joked, at the dinner table, by night, about the fact that I was working more during vacations than in normal week days... They also took me with them on their hicking trips and activities in the mountains. At the end of my journey (believe me, it WAS a journey), I had already lost almost 5 or 6kg. I saw a little, narrow window, and I asked myself "are you ready to go all the way, because that was what you have waited for ?" I started a diet, and new exercices. From september to november, I have lost almost 1.2kg every week, going down from 100 to 85kg in three months. Now, I am stabilized at 85kg, having a little 10kg in surplus, but waiting for spring and warm time to make intensive sessions of sport outside. I use my time to build muscles instead. When the girlfriend came to my town to visit me, I chose to wear my oldest shirt, because it was the one I could wear BEFORE obesity. She was amazed of the results. For me, the biggest changes in my life came when I was able again to walk for long periods of time, do bike, or run without fatigue. I can wear old clothes, have no problems putting my shoes or sockets, have no burns on my legs anymore, no back pain, and no troubles with my heart. It's like living, anew, truly.

The journey of self improvement isn’t about appealing to others, but appealing to yourself. You don’t get strong for other people, you get strong so that when you look in the mirror, you see someone of worth. A strong, capable, experienced, warrior who withstood the pressure and agony of improvement and persevered through the pain to be the best that they could be. The approval of others is not necessary, but if you have someone to cheer you on and encourage you, your journey can be much happier than most.
