@@warden6391 its crazy how he is introduced as the prince of all saiyans, extremeky gifted with everything, with the 1 in a million genetic lottery, who looks down on goku for being born average with much worse genetics. then his world shatters when he finds out that goku actually is far more gifted with 1 in a trillion genetic lottery, topped with extreme luck and motivation to get stronger infinitely. so then we as the viewers, instead of relating to Goku who grew up on earth, went through hardships and struggled to get stronger, all of a sudden relate much more to Vageta, an alien that came from apace, because just like us, he is haunted/consumed by feelings of not being enough, overshadowed by a monstrous talent that is Goku, constantly tying to get better and prove himself.

The reason Asta got so buff with one time skip even though he trained a lot longer than that is because till then he was training with zero rest days on a diet of 100% potatoes. The fact that he had the physique that he had originally without eating any proteins or even the sufficient carbs to recuperate his muscles just shows how hard he worked to become the wizard king from the start! He never had despair!
