One of my subs sent me this. I literally just met this guy on LFG, and this was the one and only game I played with him. I thought he was just a toxic idiot on an alt cause he kept doin really dumb stuff like boarding immediately instead of taking care of the ship, missing 90% of his cannon shots, and just being an asshole in general for no reason. He did say he was hitting sniper shots though which made me a little sus, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was just a TDM’r or something. Looking back I should have checked out his profile before sailing and seen he was brand new, so my bad. I blocked and reported him after the game for toxicity so I do hope he got banned.

Saw one yesterday. We just wasted a hour of their time. But we got lucky and a gally came and we convinced them to sink the cheaters.

Not going to lie, its gotten worse. We report them but they just come back.

@@ZerkZeus I think Rare kinda doesnt care. Because you officially cant report someone for cheating, at least not ingame.
@ZerkZeus Жыл бұрын
@@luigigaminglp You can but without an anti cheat you need proof so they wont do anything with it I assume. We fill out full reports but its getting old.

@@ZerkZeus That being said they really only need a server-sided anticheat to make the really obnoxious stuff go away. Aimbot is powerful, yes, but you could literally have a screen recording software that feeds another PC with an AI that feeds back the correct inputs so there is no way to actually prevent it. And there are people with really good aim, so false flags would be common. Since Client-sided Anticheats commonly comprimise your PCs security (Genshin Impact, Valorant...) i dont think this would help enough to justify the risk. That being said you could easily ban everyone flying around dropping kegs. Just check (server-sided) if the movement is somewhat legit. There can be lag spikes, you can rubberband those or leave a certain threshhold for these (or else everyone would get kicked for walking every 20 minutes or so lol)
