Playing clock move instead of touch move is asking for trouble. Here's a scenario. You're both in time trouble. He makes a move, and slaps the clock without actually pressing the button. If you don't notice, you might respond to his move, whereupon he puts your piece back, and moves his piece to a different square, and presses the clock. By then, you're probably confused, and do something inappropriate, such as stopping the clock. Stopping the clock means you're declaring the game over, and if you don't have a legitimate reason for stopping the clock, you lose.

It is heart-warming that the most popular comment on this video is someone stating the timestamp of the actual cheat move. Hero indeed, a cape should be worn, I even dare suggest some medal or life-long achievement. This unbelievably helpful person saved hundreds of people 7 minutes of their life. It makes you go silent and bow the head (not too long though). We all are very busy and constantly bettering the world and ourselves. These hundreds could have used those 7 minutes to save a child, help a woman give birth, rescue a cat from a tree, save someone drowning. The things we all do all the time. So yes, making us go through a chess video (we like chess but don't ask us to watch it please) for 7 minutes until we reach the point we want to see, that is almost a crime to humanity. I'm taking myself now like 10 minutes to compose this tribute, in which time sadly probably someone died or got ill or lost or drowned, had I not been occupied with this. But for once it is worth it. This hero deserves all the credit and respect and admiration. It actually brings a tear in my eye. But I have to get a grip.
