The fog machine is cool but you really should be using a Haze machine in such a small space. especially for such a long period like a stream. Same idea but the particles are better diffused and the fluid is... still not great for your lungs, but way better than a fog machine. Also make sure you get the water based haze solution and not the soap based haze solution. again, more about your lung health long term. The effects on the lights will be very similar.

I have a bit of RGB lights too all hooked up to LumiaStream. Love all the effects and channel points redeems I can do with them. It’s so much fun. There’s 4 LIFX bulbs, a strip, and bar. It really lights up the room and stream.

Aputure needs to make a streamdeck integration for their app, that would be GAME CHANGING for our stream setups at oni. Right now I've gotta worry about DMX and all that if I want midi controlled lighting.

Atmoseeker has a video on how to get around that. You can install a virtual dmx controller to your computer, then sync the dmx buttons to the streamdeck as a custom button

@@Painted-Coyote yeah I figured. There’s tons of ways to get it to streamdeck once you get DMX to the PC, it’s just getting a DMX network set up that’s the pain. Especially if you have 5+ devices and you want different channels and universes.

I would say that the difference between the Amaran brand and the Aputure brand is that Aputure lights are sort of designed to throw every day in the trunk of a car to set up at another movie set the next day. Amaran is more designed for the prosumer who sets up his studio one or a few times and expects it in every other regard to work just like the Aputure lights. Amaran is less sturdy but why would you pay for heavy duty lights if you just set everything up just once or a few times?

If they support DMX, you should check out Lumia Stream. I use it to control my non-DMX lights while streaming, but I bet DMX control would be amazing with those!
