This song was inspired by the story of Sariah in the Book of Mormon, whose family becomes bitterly divided. Though it is heartbreaking for so many parents who face similar struggles, I believe there is great hope in remembering that they were God’s children first, and He will continue to reach out to them and provide a way for eventual healing and redemption. *We often don’t hear the voices of women in the scriptures. I wish we did, for I know they could give us some profound insights. I have tried to give Sariah a voice, and hope that I have honored her and other heartbroken but hopeful women from all walks of life.

Wow!!!. I have ALL your amazing songs. I only found this one today. Just wow! My oldest son died from alcoholism at age 38. His brother's were so torn! My youngest told me he hates his dead brother for all he put us through with the addiction. My heart will NEVER heal from any of the pain! This song is remarkable! ~A mother of 3 sons, one in Heaven~ Thank you for your beautiful songs!!!!

Watching my husband and brother be so bitterly angry with each other for decades was so very hard , but I watched Christ’s power work with them over the years as I loved them both until, decades later, they are friends again. Miracles do happen!❤

Thank you @ShawnaEdwardsMusic for this. My Mother died some 6 years ago and since then I have watched my sisters drift apart with little to hold them together, my love is not enough. As the eldest and 14,000 miles away from all of them, all I can hope is that somewhere down the line or in the eternities, they will find their way back together.

I think you captured the feelings of this daughter of God and gave a voice for so many wonderful women. So grateful for the wonderful women that we hear from in modern scriptures, like conference, or other venues like through music. Thank you for the song The Miracle. So, so good! This hit me so hard. My two boys used to be such good friends and now don’t even speak even though they both still live with us at home (20 and 22). And my two oldest girls have a very strained relationship because of their husbands conflicts with each other. It’s so heartbreaking as a mother. I wish they could love each other the way I love them and the way our Heavenly Father does. Someday. I have hope and faith.
