You guys are brave- out on the main Potomac and it gets really rough out there when the wind picks up. I used to fish it in a fiberglass boat and there were days I didn't think I was gonna make it back to the launch ramp!

woo that ride back looked shitty! I got stuck out in a nasty rain this year on the boat. moved it to under some trees to help sheild me and the winds got so bad i got stuck in the trees/weeds. was freaking out for a quick min and finally got out once the rain stopped. Great vid as always, even with minimal catches!

I was on lake nockamixon muskie fishing in heavy heavy rain in my 14' smokercraft. My boat was filling up with water which I didn't know cause it was under the deck. Third cast caught the first muskie. Then when I went to move spots all the water went to the back of the boat. Because of the wind and waves I couldn't plain my boat it's only a 20hp and with the boat and two guys it's just to much weight in the boat on rough days. So as I went the water was literally an inch from sinking and coming over the stern of the boat. We made it back lucky. Then the weather cleared up when I drove all the way back home. So we went back out and caught 8 more muskies. It was scary but great day!
@SBFishing8 жыл бұрын
Damn I've never been close to sinking, I would've been freakin out! Crazy you went back out and got on muskie too.
@Hiei10298 жыл бұрын
SBFISHINGTV hell I was freaking but what can you do? I made my buddy who is heavier go to the front to help lift the stern of the boat. Which is probably the only thing that saved us. When we went back the rain wasn't as heavy so it was all good. I even have pictures to prove it. We caught so many that day. It was sick. I wish I had a GoPro because the footage would have been insane. 40" muskies jumping completely out of the water is an awesome sight. My wife told me I should get a GoPro so hopefully that's my Christmas gift!

You ask, in the video description, what's the worst storm boat ride I've been in? Hard to say, there's been a few. Lake of The Woods Ontario during a severe thunderstorm and 6 foot waves, Leech Lake MN during the formation of a tornado/waterspout and 5 foot waves, Mille Lacs Lake MN at night in 3-4 foot waves but due to the dark you couldn't see them coming and judge how to run the boat into them.

what makes you take the skirt of the chatterbait?
@SBFishing7 жыл бұрын
It was actually an accident one day - I was trying to skip cast it under a dock and SLAMMED it and the skirt exploded....then I was thinking about it and I was like what's the difference between a skirtless chatterbait and an underspin? Not much....I'm just gonna throw a keitech on it and give it a go....sure enough, started slamming fish. It works!
@brentricencfishing77117 жыл бұрын
dude thats awesome. Chatterbaits are one of my favorite lures and always catch good fish. im def gonna give that a try. great vids hmu if you're in NC.

Just to save you a future big fine, the A Rig is not legal in that configuration in MD, DC, or the entire Potomac River. To be legal, no more than 2 of the lures can have hooks. The others have to be hookless "teasers"

You are using the complete wrong Setup for an A-Rig😂 you need braid
@SBFishing7 жыл бұрын
False - I prefer 20 lb fluorocarbon. I've thrown it with braid next to someone throwing mono, he got bit 75% more than I did throwing the exact same rig. Granted - that could have been just the day and the fish were line shy. 20 lb fluoro is plenty though.
