Two abilities I wish Thor still had. The ability to travel in time through Mjolnir. And the ability to travel inter dimensionally under his own power without the use of Bifrost. The interdimensional travel power he still has on occasion depending on the writer, but a lot of writers only show him doing it with the help of Bifrost. Also no current writer shows him doing the god- blast anymore. In fact I hardly if ever see him firing concussive blasts out of his hammer, its usually a bolt of lightning out of the sky, which is less satisfying.

I don't know for sure, but I think that you and I are of the same mind when it comes to the MCU making the Asgardians aliens instead of keeping with the comics and leaving them as "true" Gods. I hate when people change the way a character was originally made by the artist. "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!" Don't change the sex of the character, race, background, nationality, etc. I'm not opposed with creating a new superhero with a different sex, race, etc. I just don't like it when an established character gets fixed because of social pressure, or morality, or some sort of imagined lack of a certain race, ethnic group, or sex. If you feel that the comic/movie is lacking something, then make a NEW hero, don't fuck with something that has been around for decades, that's always a good way to piss off the true comic fans.

i used to be a devoted Marvel lover and I loved Thor....butt not any more and the reason why is that every time I look up he's being defeated. The writers just didn't know how to write for this guy and he just didn't measure up in terms of him being earths protector. But comic like this should have been published, or at least known years ago. I was the one who always thought that Thor could beat Superman, and if it is written right he can but Superman is always winning. I'm over at Dc now but I'm so hoping that Thor is put back where he belongs.....Able to fight and defeat the Likes of Thanos (whom he has beaten before, Superman well at least like Thor win some and Supes win some but never just knocked out flat. And the phoenix force...no sure, and Knull....next time just don't turn your back on him. If anyone knows more about why Thor is written by 95 year old men from Albeerta canada or whatever please enlighten me. In the mean time I'm over at DC enjoying more epic comics than over here at Marvel.
