When to Call Adult Protective Services

Exploitation of older adults often goes unreported. A lot of times, the person being abused wants to defend the abuser. If you have an individual that you feel is being abused, neglected, exploited, call Adult Protective Services, if you feel that they are an endangered adult. Adult Protective Services is not an emergency response unit, however. If it is an imminent, emergency life-threatening situation, call 911.
