Bart I really wish you would help these players learn by calling them on some of their bullshit. You don’t have to be mean about it but when this clueless player says things like “I am checking almost 100% of my range” on the river you should really stop him. Then you can say something along the lines of “You don’t even know if you are betting for value or bluff on the flop and river, you definitely aren’t playing your ranges in any consistent ways in these spots, you need to go back and learn the basics before thinking about playing your ranges. It really is amazing to me how many clueless players call in and spew all this big words. I knew this call would be like this the second he opened his mouth with the absolute statements on “X player would never do this” etc.

I wouldn’t fold KQ/KJ to a checkraise tbh. It just seems like it would be a flush draw. No way AK/33/66 checks this flop and risks it checking around. So what are you scared of? The one remaining combo of KK and perhaps AKss for two combos. Never folding.

I played at this game for years. It was in Phoenix, and Marco, the caller, wasn’t too good of a player. However, he ended up winning 10’s of thousands at this game, because he inserted marked decks into the game (UV marked and he wore glasses). The dealer one night mentioned to the host that they needed new decks and Marco just happened to have a couple identical decks in his car, so he sold them to the host. Over the next 6-8 weeks, he proceeded to have zero losing sessions playing 3-4 times a week, while absolutely demolishing. Prior to this, I had been the biggest winner in that game, and he started winning monster pots against me, but losing none, (such as calling down with bottom pair in 3 bet pots and calling 3 streets with things like K high.) I eventually ordered UV glasses myself (after he refused to let me see them one night), and the host and I caught him. Over that 6 weeks I probably lost 30k to him. I lost the most by far, because I’d be beating everyone else and then he’d take it all in one hand. This hand likely happened before the cheating, because obviously he always knew what cards people had once his decks were in play. He’s a garbage human being, but we let him off Scott free simply because we had no legal way of recouping the money, and this was a game with good friends and people with successful careers playing, so we didn’t want to risk any backlash. But he completely screwed me and others, and put my poker bankroll in the gutter. If you see him at any game, I highly recommend having him removed from the casino/game.

I'd bet quite a bit he had a3, maybe he had 45 (o or s) but the later bluffs hero described make him sound semi aggressive and I'd be surprised if he'd check the flop with a open ender or flush draw from late position but probably would check bottom pair. So, unless someone explain to that him, he would be still good to play against. 😂. . V could have it both ways. Based on the entire hand context (I think) he was bluffing. R1: All necessary conditions for bluff were in place. R2: V checked flop back?? (A strong hand does not do that against 3 opponents with 2 suited cards on board). I’d call his bluff on river without blink of an eye.

20s standard for the good players ... hero raises to 20. Well then I guess he’s a good player Wants to get as much money in against 78 spades - He “leads out” on the turn (once again someone not using a term correctly... but he raised to $20 pre, so he’s one of the “good players”). Min click back 3b on the turn which would only get called or jammed by better . Wait ... he’s one of the good players . Shit I’m sorry, I forgot Beginning of the call hero declared the good players raise to $20 pre and the fish raise to 60-70$ pre with “all kinds of junk like JT o”. But then at the end hero says it’s only his 2nd orbit - wow what a rapid analysis of how the table plays and who’s the fish less than 2 orbits in . Hero must be a GREAT player, not a GOOD player And I never see people flat AK pre so that’s simply out of the question ... right ? GG then .. Hero wins Next call PS Bart, stop being such a nice guy... you wouldn’t lean towards a fold on the river you would snap fold given the action... you didn’t want to humiliate the guy any more after correcting his thought process a half dozen times along the way Heck, He’s one of the GOOD players and shouldn’t have even made this call. He doesn’t need your crummy advice 😆

It’s amazing to me how some players can spew all this poker lingo when they talk, act like they have this major in depth analysis when they are talking about spots, but then know almost nothing about the most basic of poker concepts. “The good players always bet 20” lol wtf? Why is this guy talking about raising flop to fold out KQ then 10 seconds later says top pair will call three streets. Also analyzing the turn where he wants to 3bet to set up a river jam after openly saying the opponents range beats his just shows you he knows the words but has no idea what any of them mean. 3bet to “see what he does” is downright horrible when you have this much showdown value. This is what it looks like when one knows very little about poker strategy and is basically just clicking buttons. The value vs bluff concept is one of the first poker concepts you learn when starting to study poker, but this player seems to have no idea which category his hand falls under or how to play each category.

That's not how that works- you can call turn 100% and fold river if your stacks are deep enough, your hand doesn't improve, etc. And you're really shoving into someone who raised you on the turn with only TP? What do you think is folding? Only the hands that you beat.
