The Starter Store plan, which is ideal for sellers with a handful of products, costs $7.95 for a monthly subscription and offers 250 free listings, with each additional listing costing $0.30.
On the other hand, the Basic Store plan, which costs $27.95 for a monthly subscription, provides 1000 free listings, with each additional listing priced at $0.25.
To determine when it is time to get an eBay Store subscription and which plan is best suited for your needs, sellers need to conduct some calculations. For instance, if a seller wants to list more than 125 items and would need to pay $0.30 per additional listing, subscribing to the Starter Store plan becomes more cost-effective.

Couple questions… I have a max of 600 listing I’m allowed to add every month (free). I plan on using them so does that mean when I go over the 250 “active” listing I’ll have to pay an additional $.30 per listing? Secondly is there any of the eBay stores that reduce the transaction fees? I have made $452 in sales, but once fees are taken out I have only made $346. Is there a way to reduce those transaction fees?

I would have gotten a store sooner I didn't understand that when you have buy it now listings or "Good till Canceled" every month your charged 35 cents for an insertion fee. We had 600 listings so every month we hit our 250 then the charges were added I wasn't paying attention last 6 months 70% of our profits went to fees. I setup a premium store billed annually

From experience below 100K don't even bother, no one cares for the 30p listing, the problem is the 12.5% final tax. Just sell as private and take advantage of the 80% off final value fee promotion that runs twice a month. You will end up paying only 2-3% tax over final value fees, which will give you leverage even over some big players. Thank me later

On the other hand, with a non-store subscription, you also get 250 free insertion fees, but additional listings will cost $0.35 each. I'm no expert. However, I think you're correct. I have listings still not sold at the beginning of August. It just refreshed on the first, and I have not added any new listings. It says 250 for me. So I'd say you're correct. If you have 295 active listings and the new month starts, then you get another 250

I believe your 780 limit is just that. A limit. The insertion fee is different and still applies to anything over 250.

@@mehrajhassen8998 It is free to list most items, 1000 free listing per month as I said. Vehicles and a few other items cost money to list as also said above. All items will have their standard final value fee and other small costs which are percentage based and will depend on the price of your items. I use fixed price, never use auction listing on my ebay so you will just have to find out by trying it, but all of my listing automatically renew every 30 days for free.

I had an eBay store for many years, which I downgraded to a starter store a few years back, but I just learned that a starter store has the exact same number of free listings per month as having no store at all. I will probably cancel my starter store membership soon. Edit: you sort of cover this around 4:30 on this video, but you have the numbers wrong. A non-store account gets 250 free listings per month, not 100. It used to be a lower number, but that was years ago.
