its day 12 and i made the incubator my self and it was really good to see some veins while candling the eggs. I am 28 years old though but i am really anxious like a kid about the day when they will hatch. It is going to be my first experience. So i have a question that is incubator environment with humidity is suitable for chicks to survive after hatching? i have 4 holes in incubator for air but will that be enough for them to breath?
@pkavenger99903 жыл бұрын
@@voluntarism335 They are created by Allah and we will eat what he allowed and we will not eat what Allah dont allow. I will continue to love my animals care for them and also when the times I will also slaughter them in Islamic way and eat them. You should be fighting the modern farmers that treat the animals with cruelty.

4 holes is enough. I have a store bought incubator and it only has 1 hole. Have hatched dozens of chicks in the past month mashallah.

I keep my incubator in my brooder, so I just let them step on out, and the incubator temp control works easier.
@richarddixson19713 жыл бұрын
@@sinmore11 Step elimination and easy is why. My brooder is 85 deg ish well insulated, My incubator is 100 deg so it works less to keep temp and I use a mini evap cooler to move air and set humidity inside my brooder and incubator. on the last day or day of hatch I take my brooder to 98 ish and open my incubator, my chicks can hatch step out to their fist water and feed, while calling to their fellow hatchlings. Easy cheeze, I just check once or twice a day as I put around my shop and chores. At two weeks depending on weather they go outside for a romp to my 10'x10'x4' "Chick Play Pen" on our lawn for exercise, sunshine with feed and water and learn our dogs and new environment. After the 1st time or two they are trained and basically come when they see me. At about a month depending on weather the Play Pen goes into our chicken yard with a small opening for chicks only and shelter from weather. Then in a "Few" days the chicks just naturally head out and stay out with our flock to find their spots in the pecking order. I try to let my brooder hen do her job and step out of the circle of life, but she is old and not working to hard, no other hen has taken the job just yet.

My incubator doesn't have a brooder screen. When they begin to hatch next week, they'll get caught in the egg cradles.

If one of them was actively hatching, what makes you think the other ones you threw out weren’t trying?

He only took out completely open egg shells that the chicks already came out of.

@Hashbrown2374 Жыл бұрын
Temp should be 99 degrees and humidity at 35-45% for the first 18 days. then for the last 3 days you want to have it at 99 degrees but the humidity at 45-55%.

What do we feed them after 24 hours of their hatch? Do we feed them? Warm water or normal temperature water? dry feeds? Or mashed feeds?
@MustHaveOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I feed them an organic chick started and offer water. Organic chick starter un medicated doesn't give them pasty butt like other feed.

I give my chicks 1st water at the same temp as brooder and incubator with a little sugar and apple cider viegar with the mother 5 or 10% of each I really do not measure. If I think of it sometimes I soak the chick starter in water to look like oat meal with dry also for the 1st day or two.

Hwy when i get the amazon link for the incubator the 133dollar one it says 1 pack 2 pack.. ect i was wondering what that meant?
@MustHaveOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Looks like you can purchase multiples of the incubator. My understanding is that the 1 pack is just for one incubator.

Your not keeping them right, they need warmth, proper food, amount of water available, space, routine, handling everything matters
@tullyriverquail2 жыл бұрын
Brooder heat should provide a ~°38C zone of heat, not too far from the water/food as at times they can get too cold running from the warm to go eat... they will just stop eating and die just trying to stay warm!

Chickens are NATURALLY attracted to the color: RED Have you never seen the way an entire flock will peck a flock-mate to death, just because it got cut on something and their was just a bit of blood present? All you need is a drinker with a RED colored base. Their God-given instincts lead them to their water👍 Some people are so incredibly zealous (obsessed) with dunking, that they actually injure the chick. I’m sorry, but you DO NOT DUNK the chicks’ beaks in the water… it’s time to put this ignorant, archaic dunking business to and end‼️
